Miðgarðsormr, The Serpent Blade Viking Sword: Full Build from Start to Finish + Test Cuts
Welcome to the complete movie of my Viking Sword project! This video encapsulates one of the most comprehensive Viking sword build presentations on CZcams, showcasing every step of the journey, including the intricate process of crafting the guard, pommel, and handle assembly.
This video compiles all the episodes, bringing together the entire process of creating the "Serpent in the Blade" Viking sword. As a special addition, enjoy some previously unreleased clips at the end, featuring sharpening and test cuts.
The sword's cutting prowess is remarkable. Tested with the traditional Tameshigiri, it sliced through the mats with precision. Test cuts through rolled tatami mats, simulating human limbs, are known to be a difficult and skill-based task. Since I've done this only once before, whether it's luck or the blade's exceptional sharpness compensating for skill, the result are impressive.
This project spanned several months and now that all recordings are complete, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support throughout this journey.
Thank you so much for watching!

Bronze Fittings for the "Serpent in The Blade" Viking Sword
zhlédnutí 65KPřed 2 měsíci
Welcome to the third installment of the "Serpent in the Blade" series! In this episode, we embark on the process of crafting the sword's fittings: the guard and two pommel pieces cast in bronze. For this classic bronze alloy, I've utilized a blend of 90% copper, 10% tin, and a 3% addition of lead. The patterns are crafted from MDF, chosen for its ease of grinding and carving, as well as its den...

👍💪🤟👏👏👏👏
That’s impressive, sir. Is that the same way to forge a ninja sword? Is it hard to forge weapons?
That's a machete 😂
Un fabuleux travail Bravo
Gorgeous work!!!!!
Salut c’est possible de le couler entièrement en ciment fondue au lieu du réfractaire et de la couverture ?

Gorgeous sword. Stunning craftsmanship and attention to detail, as usual. I wish I had a fraction of the patience you must have.
Thank you for being transparent with your molding issues. Great work, quality content!
What type of metal was the plate he melted down?
Pewter!
Cool, but the sword is 90 degrees off from where the edge should be

Из чело у тебя штихели?
What exactly is that "scale" that falls off? I'm assuming it's some sort of oxide but what exactly?
Iron Oxide I think :)
@@BlackBeardProjects so does that mean that you actually lose some of the metal to scale? Even if it's a small percent of the total? That's why I asked the question. I didn't realize that some of the metal reacts with the air due to the high heat (assuming)
❤das Messer gefällt mir ❤
Worldclass craftsmenship....wow....excellent....
Beautiful sword. I'm almost afraid to think about the number of hours spent on it.
Çok güzel bir çalışma, harika oldu. Planlı çalışmalarını ve videolarını izlemek keyifli. Tebrikler.👌🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Beautiful work!
what kind of material do you use for baking?
They should be placed Edge up. ☺️
Looks like one of the anvils that came from that Italian monastery that has over a hundred of them😊
Terrific build ❤
Well, I’ll tell you the main plot of the video: the guy took a strip of metal, sawed it into pieces, welded it into one block, and again flattened it into a strip of metal, attaching a convenient handle. And you're done. Just with extra steps. You can say - but wait, it will become 100500 times stronger, like a real mEdieVAl SwOrd, and I will say that for the purposes for which it was created (namely, to lie on a beautiful stand) it was not worth complicating everything so much.

Most badass toothpick I ever seen buddy. Great build !
