The Evangelion unit 01 Guide 101: Let’s start off with the play style, Eva is a glass canon.It’s more of a ranged type Character/kaiju. Assault mode(knife): Not the best, but still alright. At max dmg first move, maiming fang.Does around 550, I mostly use it because of the ways I can spam it.I mostly use it for ammo, so I can always get prepped for ranged battles.A good combo would be 1st move and 2nd and repeat. Passive effects: Slowness. V move:Dodge (sends you forward) Summary for assault mode,(or knife), I always use it for ammo, but first move is pretty good.For a combo, just use 1 and 2 on repeat. Oppression mode(Gun mode): Get away from your enemies, I like to use the 4th attack, don’t remember what it’s called.I don’t really use the 2nd move until I get under 15 ammo because it does less dmg. V move:Reload (reloads your gun) Summary for Oppression mode:Range your enemies, use 4th move and don’t use the 2nd really(imo) unless you get under 15 ammo. Don’t remember the name, I’m just calling it The Spear of Longinus: The best option for close combat and melee is this mode for Eva. It can pretty much ground fliers for a good 15 seconds with the 4th attack allowing you to get them and they can’t run. I bait out their attacks, I like to use the Vorpal dive, and then use evasion because if they are to slow, they can’t hit me. (Pro tip) if you are fast, you can jump over Ultima tails and g19’s with Eva. Alongside the Spear, I use the first move when I bait them out, and then I use the second. Passive effects:Grounding V move:Evasion (makes Eva go backwards) Summary for The Spear of Longinus:Use the 4th move for fliers as it can ground them for a good 15 seconds.I use the 3rd attack and then evasion because sometimes they are slow and can’t hit you.Also, bait out their moves. Builds: 10 DMG (Max) 3 regen, 7 health (5000) (If you don’t know, regen helps you regenerate charge faster and your health) And finally, the good ol Berserk mode, You must first, engage in battle and get hit enough times to get 70 Ascension, during the transformation you take 90% less damage. First, every move does around 860 damage. If you are low on health, use Angelic Grace, I believe that’s what it is called. It will heal roughly around 400 health?Buying you some time to do some dmg. Every attack uses around 10 ascension. So, just spam 1 and 2 until you reach 10 ascension, then finish it off with Herald of the end, which will do 1.5K, probably killing them. And yes, it has some range. So use it when you are close, and angelic wrath (the heal move) takes around 13 ascension from what I’ve remembered. Also, the more points you put into speed, the less ascension you lose, the info above is without any skill points put into speed. After you finish berserk mode, and they are still alive, hide behind something and hopefully that gives enough time for you to get into your mode without being hit during your stationary transition. Another thing to note during Berserk mode, when using the Roars they give a speed buff. So keep that in mind. V move:Angelic grace (Heal) Summary:Don’t skip out on berserk mode, read through it all. More tips: if you really want to get a passive effect, use 2 speed or 5 AT MOST to get a passive.Also, the more speed you have the more bullets you can have, it goes up to 100 if I am right. Apparently, it increases your damage.(Got this info from falconers comment section.Dunno if the damage increase is actually true or not) (And if you don’t know, no, putting in speed points will not make you any faster.They all go to passive effects.)
