This Iridium Flare occurred at 6:00 PM on December 8th, 2010 and was recorded from Salem, Illinois. It reached a maximum magnitude of -7 and lasted approximately 7 seconds. For reference, the constant light above the flare is Jupiter.
Jesus, that 5.91 inch pale chub bit is ridiculous... if only it was at least an inch shorter it would be even funnier.

My favourite Dan Ryckert moment was when Dan accidentally uttered the phrase "Dinosaurs aren't real" when talking about suspension of disbelief and Jurassic Park, and Abby just immediately said "Oh Dan..." Dan meant to say that he knew the dino's in the movie weren't real, that Dino's aren't around anymore and its all a fantasy. But that Abby just immediately assumed the worst because of Dan's track record was so funny.
I tried looking for that video but I can't remember when it happened.
It was one of the streams with Alex Boniello, because I remember the reason Dan was talking about suspension of disbelief was that he had to get over his weirdness around musicals while watching Dear Evan Hansen (the play that broadway alex was in.) It was something like "I have trouble with musicals because people don't really burst into song, but I can enjoy Jurassic park even though dinosaurs aren't real". I don't think Alex Boniello was actually on a lot of streams right? Probably a jackbox thing.

Dan is the worst thing to happen to Giant Bomb and the best thing to happen to its audience. Many can relate to this smarmy prick with a heart of gold.
It surprises me how Dan has made it as far into life as he has without someone either beating the shit out of him or straight up murdering him.

That guy's somehow as repulsive as he is boring. Seems more likely that Jason's co-workers were talking about how shitty Jason is, but when he walked up unexpectedly and asked them who they were talking about, they said "oh, Dan."
Jason and Dan are damn near brothers and you can see it every time they interact. Jason "shits on" Dan because he's playing along with the heel/straight man routine. Their Abbott and Costello relationship is one of the things I miss the most ever since Dan went east coast
