Chris Reeve Knives Small Sebenza 31 MagnaCut unboxing and first steps
The Sebenza is something special. On the List for many many years.
Since I discovered the site “Equipped to survive” by Doug Ritter back in 1999-2000 on the ”primitive” internet(compared to nowadays).
A customized Sebenza Regular was his first choice as a backup EDC folder. An American knife that popped up in my knife encyclopedias and far out of reach for a 15 year old kid.
And here we are! The first one.

I start off with the Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 31 in CPM Magnacut at 63-64 HRC .
Let’s have a look at it and see it’s first steps.

Haaaaydihooooo, Al little video showing The DBK Bushcrafter and what it’s made for….. Just a quicky with some highlights. So it wouldn’t become boring :-) I used it yesterday to test it out for batoning, feathersticking, scraping sticks, , firemaking, foodprep …. It did all the tasks with ease and is still shaving sharp and there are no blemishes at all. What a Bushcrafter ,….. what a DBK Knife...

Wow, someone who actually uses their knife to cut things instead of opening it, talking about how good it feels in the hand and cutting a piece of paper and repeating with a new knife. Joking aside, nice PJ CRK and thank you for demonstrating it in real-use conditions. Take care knife friend 😊

They literally made a bark river fox river hunter but in Elmax and scandi grind. Not being shitty just saying it the exact knife
So don’t be shitty 😂… you are incorrect. Check their video czcams.com/video/GGO0-g-wW0A/video.html …. They explain on what it is based on. And TRC used their older model, the TRC Bushcraft, as a template to start the DBK Bushcrafter’s design and production.

My DBK Bushcraft knife just arrived. It is the sharpest knife I ever received. It feels wonderfull and looks great. Just getting the knife of the sheath felt really dangerous since I needed to use a great amount of strength. But it will loosen over time. Can't wait to go outside and make my first fire. Great job guys! You can be really proud. Best knife channel delivered the best bushcrafting knife. Always wanted a gunny scandi but no more ;-)

It's made by TRC out of Elmax steel and looks like a Bark River knife. Of course it is a knife that can be used. I still see no justification for the price. And where is the kydex sheath for wet areas?
Their are plenty quality knives out there that come with a nice leather sheath , as it is with this one. The price is about the same as for other TRC knives of this size…. perhaps the convex grind, finish and execution makes it worth it? Cheers
You reviewed some TRC knives before. You praised them… why the change of heart?
@@bbkdmprops There's no change of heart. TRC makes good knives. Still love the model Bushcraft I have. Also the Apocalypse. This 'DBK' knife is just a bit smaller version of the old TRC Bushcraft model but with a Bark River style handle and almost some 100 euro more expensive. That's the price difference I'm talking about.
@@StevanOutdoor I see, but aren’t the knives in similar size/thickness/materials still around that €300-€350 price tag now? 10years ago a lot of knives were cheaper. Anyway, have a good weekend!
@@bbkdmprops I seer the K1-s on the site for some 250 euro. Also the price of the Fallkniven F1x in Elmax. So lets say it's 80 euro more expensive. I still can't figure out why.
I usually carry my Bark River Bravo 1 & a Kukri when I’m out and about in the scrub. This knife interests me, what steel is it made from?
