Surah an-Nisa 36-42: The verse that made the Prophet (saw) cry 😢
Recitation of surah an-Nisa ayahs 36 onwards.
In one narration the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam asked Ibn Masud rA to "Recite the Quran for me."
Ibn Mas'ud rA was surprised, and asked "Shall I recite to you, while it was revealed to you?!?" but the Messenger reassured him "I love to hear it from other than myself"
So ibn Mas'ud recited from surah an-Nisa until he reached ayah 41: "So how will it be when We bring a witness from every faith-community and bring you ˹O Prophet˺ as a witness against yours?"
And the Prophet motioned for him to stop, saying "Enough, enough" - and ibn Mas'ud looked at him, and saw that his eyes were tearing up.

Asalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah. I love your videos. JazakAllah Khair for all your help. It’s a little hard when you don’t know the meaning of the ayats. Because you don’t know when it’s a question or a statement. I can read the Quran but cannot understand it unfortunately. May Allah make it easy

The 2nd one sounds like regular Hijaz to me and the 3rd sounds like Hijazkar.

This video was really helpful. I was wondering why there are different tunes even though they are using the same maqam. I wanted to know how to make different tunes with a same maqam.
thank you! yes overall the entire maqam will have a certain feel. But you can use different portions of the maqam, or you can go up and down in certain ways that creates different tunes. Then put them all together and you get the maqam as a whole

Salam Imam, mashallah may Allah swt reward you immensely. However, I personally find the "echo effect" to be distracting and simply unnecessary. Your voice without that after effect is already a flute of Daud (as). Ramadan Mubarak!
Salaam Parwiz thanks for the kind feedback. Ya my wife told me the same thing lol. I just chose this setting on my mic software and didn't really check it properly. I actually recorded a bunch of readings in one sitting, but now I'm gonna re-record them. Hope you're well, may Allah bless you and your family :)
