I got my first (and probably last given the cost lol) Chris Reeve recently as well. It's easily taken over as my favourite knife in my collection.

That was an interesting selection of knives and a good recap of a career that I have followed for many years. Thank you for mentioning me, but I think my greatest contribution to your channel was introducing you to Ashley.

Every year that passes I keep saying there’s never been a better time to start collecting. We both came from fixed blades, and considered a proper pocket knife was a slip joint. We both know the time when people said “I won’t buy anything made out of Chinesium”. I agree on the similarities of the locking tactical knives, at least in the production world. I still have my first Ganzo, as well as customs that cost as much as a car. I’ve sort of started working backwards, with 2 fixed blades I’m having made, a few traditionals and production. The Chinese make brilliant knives, and compare to some of the finest. Of course I have a few other customs in the works, but anything with a blade gets me excited! Glad to see you’re expanding your slippie collection, and glad I’ve got something to watch while I’m load up for a few weeks! ATB big guy!

Ganzo makes great knives. I live in America I visited Ireland a time or two and I love Ireland but I hate their knife laws maybe eventually someone can start a knife rights but being an American I have expensive knives and I have a ton of Ganzo and other Chinese knives as well . A good knife is a good knife. I don't want to pay too much for a Chinese knife but they make good knives and you buy what you can afford. So like you I don't put a lot of stock in nay Sayers . And I really enjoy collecting knives.Thanks for sharing brother I enjoyed the video 💯🤙

I've ordered a single-bladed A. Wright stag senator with a chased back. I've no idea if Ashley himself will make it, or if it will have the polished blade, but I'm sure it'll be great either way. That burl gunstock looks lovely too! 👍

The blade material is most important when choosing a knife. If the clone were anything other than 440 they could not sell it for only $20. Not even with cheap labor.

Totally agree with you, and would recommend this one to all slipjoint enthusiasts. I preordered one as soon as I learned about it. The one I received had excellent fit/finish, and was sharp right out of the box. Love the blue color. Mine had a couple of “splotches” in the dye, but not enough problem to make me want to return it. I saw Andy in a recent interview, and it sounds like even more great knives coming to us in the near future. I can’t wait to see them👍

I just did a video on this and for myself this is my #1 knife of the year for me anyways. This thing is absolutely 💯 amazing for just over $50 dollars are you kidding me !!!! Andy and Roseacraft blades nailed this one, I hope they do more handle materials with this one !!!
