Hello lovely Mandy 👋 That’s actually such a great question - thanks for asking! If it’s room temp, the pollen will be more “active” compared to when it’s cold but I wouldn’t warm it up per say because it might cook the pollen. Once the pollen is on the inflorescence, I think it would naturally thaw out to the surrounding temperature so I don’t think there would be a significant difference and/or change the outcome 🤔

@@plantcollectormelbourne I did my degree remotely as a mature age student, as I was already working f/t at that point. I definitely look forward to more planty chats! 😊 And I love that you kept your lab coat. IMO Your science degree is most certainly valuable for your planty endeavours and it’s awesome you’re using it in that way. Not sure you know of her but there’s Ashley from Gardening In Canada and she’s a soil scientist who uses her science and brings it to her gardening channel. I don’t know of any others in that space so this is an excellent niche for you to step into, if that’s your interest. Especially for our climate in Melbourne which is not well covered imo.
