Before I was even born, my father was the lead singer in a country and western band. In my early youth, that was the only music I heard. This is one I remember. I hope you enjoy it.

Dan... love love your work. Keep on keeping on!😅
I was 17 and was with the love of my life in our senior year of high school. We had almost 45 years of marriage before I lost him. These songs take me back to the greatest year of my life.
My favorite CZcams channel is Dan Casy Billboard 100 videos. Commercial-free and exquisitely done.
I thank you. Keep listening.
My children, who were all born in the 1970s, would prefer to hear these songs when we traveled. They grew up listening to them with their mom AND dad.
Good choice in music. Thanks for listening.
Another great selection Dan-Keep them coming-

Your 1970-1985 Billboard Top 100 lists are literally the "Soundtrack of my Youth". Thank you Dan, you've helped to make my retirement quite pleasant. ☮️ & ❤
Glad I could help. Thanks for listening.
Another great one! Thank you. Greetings from West Texas. Any place we go around here we hear this kind of music. The farmers and ranchers are very friendly and of course very helpful. Wide open and high skies makes this small town a very special place. We love it here. Even our only one hi school plays alot of classic western music. The kids all get along great, very respectful. No gangs, curfew at 11 pm and its enforced, taking any kids home. There are no kids walking the street. We have only 2 drive up diners and the parking lots are always filled, esp. on weekends and holidays, mostly pickup trucks and alot are old There are only 4 policemen patrolling the town and they are friendly, often stop to converse with anybody. I thank God every day for this. I really enjoyed this video, felt right at home.
Oh, to go back to the basics. Thanks for listening.
96 thanks!
Welcome! Thanks for listening.
I've been listening to San Antonio Rose all my life (52 years) without ever realizing that there was an instrumental version?!
Floyd had it in the early 60s. Thanks for listening.
This compilation makes me think of... Well I was raised on country classics Like Roy Acuff and George Jones Lord, I loved to hear 'em Sing all them old time country songs Put some drive in the country Let's keep country drivin' on - Travis Tritt
My early years were all country because my dad was a singer in a country band. Thanks for listening.

It's Martin Denny, alright, but it's not "Quiet Village" - it's "The Enchanted Sea".

The song Yakety Sax, by Boots Randolph (American musician Homer Louis Randolph III), was released in 1963 but he re-recorded it in 1985. It became the opening, and closing, Benny Hill Show Theme Song, a British, tongue in cheek, comedy show. If you can find some Benny Hill, it’s HILARIOUS!
That was a show that I watched a lot. Thanks for listening.
MacArthur Park...imo, musically, the finest song of the 60s.
It was a good one with 2 pop versions. Thanks for listening.
At 78 I remember the earlier country music. From Bluegrass to Johnny Cash but sadly I don’t really care for this modern country. To each there own.Keep up the good country music.
I agree the modern country music is not as good as the old country music, but it sure beats what they now call pop music. Thanks for listening.
@@dancasey1370I agree being my age I still love oldies and doo wop from 58 to 64. Some 70s also but I guess I’m just stuck in my ways.
Best Selection of 50s Music on YT - thanx, Dan!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for listening.
