i used arp bolts with a locking washer.. I cut a wrench in half, which made it much easier to get to that one on the passenger side. from the back side..total p.i.a when i did finally try to fit them the drivers side was stuffed to them floor with zero clearance.. and the z bar was quite the challenge.Headers got sold, and i went back to the #s matching manifolds. im at around 325HP without headers..400 4spd has no lack of power without the p.i.a headers. If i want to go faster i will just switch from a 3.08 to a 3.42 rear gear.. I had 2 sets of headers back in the day that went in the garbage..if you're gonna drive the car to its full capacity of the suspension travel..Your gonna find yourself with flattened headers. when they are crushed in half, they dont flow well. I've never bottomed out my manifold to x pipe..Ever! Good luck with the build

The car was so rotted the rear shakles came thru the floor..The subframe sat on the ground so long it rusted thru.. There was nothing left to save.

Those are original 1/4s..im def looking to do them and more before paint. I agree it's gonna be killer 🙂.. If you need advice on part sellection i can def help you. Good luck with the cars..any 2nd gen with the right parts are the ultimate drivers car 🙂
