@@SultanSully97 this is DSG but if your Golf R is manual we would recommend a clutch upgrade before tuning (with time to bed in the clutch) or be prepared to put one in after tuning.

@@actuning is a clutch replacement a service you offer on manual transmission. Also I subscribed good content btw.

The Golf R runs a Haldex 4wd system, remove power from the rear differential and it cannot engage. It is very common practice.

I will watch a pull and see how long it is but in my mind an accurate pull will simulate a pull on the road in the same amount of time. If the pull is too fast you will not achieve the same stress / heat resulting in a higher result, the same is true the opportunity way, too long a pull will create too much heat and result in a lower result. We do use the load settings we think work the best as maha train us to run on 100% load with the bonnet closed.

It’s is a big difference and adding more power / torque will increase stress on components but it is all relative. If you drive a vehicle hard all the time you will wear out components faster as you exert more stress on them (even if stock) I don’t believe this is outside the realms of what the engine or gearbox can handle but equally maintenance is very important.

@@actuning That's what i believe too, it might add a bit of stress but if your careful with your driving you shouldn't see any problems.

@@boardelia Exactly that, its just having abit of mechanical sympathy and looking after your car.

@@boardeliathe 8HP70 gearbox this uses is fine for about 1200nm and the N57 is also reliable at even 400bhp, it's not much more stress to be honest unless your using it as a track or race car it will be fine.

@@actuningYea I’m from the states, We never got the ST170 or ST225, or I would have bought an mk2 over my mk3, Absolutely love that 5 cylinder, But if you want it here in the U.S you have to buy Audi 5 cylinder & even a used 2018 are still going for over 50k.

This turbo is a Borg Warner K03 modified to take K04 internals 😎

@@actuning would u class that as a hybrid ko3 or a ko4 hybrid ? Makes good power

@@845_Mk6 K03 Hybrid as it’s built from a K03. They perform very well and are a direct bolt on

@@845_Mk6 No problem at all, we can still have these units built if you would like one. I would say spool time should be similar as the internals are the same size but it was very responsive compared to the stock turbo.

That will be awesome fun with 500hp upwards!!

The intercooler was supplied to us by the customer for us to install. Unfortunately some cutting was required to make it fit. I will have to speak to my colleague and see if he knows where the customer bought it from.

I had a mercury grey series 2 many years ago, definitely a car I regret selling.

This only enables dyno mode - On an xdrive you either need to pull fuses or use xdelete from xhp, we personally dont try and run xdrive vehicles on our dyno.

Your not wrong there, it was stock is12, I had is20 on the brain 🧠 There is definitely more in the set up, we only ran 1.6 bar to achieve this power 😎

1.8 bar, brought in less aggressively as we had clutch slip on the base tune (old stock clutch)

Injectors are standard 😎

1756 are good but we tend to use the 1752 as they are more efficient than the 56 and can make the same power
