Interesting fact many Americans are unaware of; The "Master" switch is split for a reason. Americans learn to turn on the battery and alternator together, as if it were one switch, but this is actually not ideal, nor what is intended by the manufacturer. Because of the inductive loading of the alternator, it is actually better to start the engine on the battery, and get it stabilized before engaging the power supply to the alternator. Americans have simplified this task, because it is felt too many electrical power-loss failures would occur by pilots forgetting the ensuing task of powering the alternator, and not going back to their checklists where this step would be indicated. It's not a big deal either way, but it is worth noting that many other countries separate these steps, as was always intended by the manufacturer.

I would measure the fuel with a manual tube gauge instead of relying on the fuel instrument gauge in the plane. What if it had a sticky fuel gauge?

I have this headset. It's junk. It's very comfortable, definitely-- I do have a big head, never had a problem with these comfort-wise. But they are NOT durable. One of those swivel clamp things above the earmuff (seen @2:30) broke off-- I have no idea how or when it happened. And the goddamn microphone started to loosen up and would gradually slip down past my mouth-- would constantly have to reposition it. I took the headset apart to try and tighten them up. Didn't work. There's no way to tighten the mic up again. In fact, taking it apart did the opposite. The mic is now looser and won't hold in place at all. I paid $300 for these new and only got a year and a half out of them before pieces of the headset started to wear out. Absolute piece of garbage!

Advice for any beginning videographer . . . SLOW DOWN and DO NOT MAKE RAPID CAMERA MOVEMENTS. If something is worth making a video of, make it watchable without a barf bag.
