The fact that her label dropped her on that reasoning drives me crazy, and yet I’m also glad they did because if they hadn’t we wouldn’t have gotten the gorgeousness that is “California”. And honestly I think she needed the growth that she clearly had over these past few years to become the Chappell we know and love now. If you haven’t watched the music video to Pink Pony Club, highly recommend. Would definitely watch a reaction to that!

Great video! I've been going on a binge of watching people specifically react to this album because it and Conan snuck up on me. I've known of Conan for many years but wasn't the hugest fan of his past 3 albums/eps. When I heard Lonely Dancers and saw the mv when it first dropped I was floored. I admit I had low expectations but I immediately vibed with the song because it reminded me of the song Safety Dance. After that I listened to his other song Never Ending Song and didn't really vibe with it (though I loved the music video). Same with Alley Rose, didnt care for it at first. I told myself I'd listen to the full album when it came out. Upon first listen I had a few faves I liked (Fainted Love, The Final Fight and Forever with Me) and kinda dismissed the rest. But then I was like....lemme give this album another listen or two......and suddenly I was in love with the entire thing, buying tickets to the tour, and falling deep into the rabbit hole of becoming a Conan stan. FH is definitely one of those albums that you can't just judge on first listen and really have to digest as part of a full project. I relistened to all the past albums with more of an open mind and found a few more that I like now but FH is still my all time fave. The only two on the album I don't ~love~ are Bourgeoisies and Boys & Girls (your top fave and my top fave are swapped 😅). Alley Rose grew on me and Never Ending Song REALLY grew on me! The Final Fight in my opinion is the best ballad on the album. I think it can be interpreted as for a romantic partner or to a family member as well, in the same vein as Winner. I can relate to Conan and his problems with his father cuz I went through something similar and this person is gone now but I still have dreams where I get to yell at him and finally tell him how all the horrible shit made me feel and I never got that while he was alive. Conan put the feeling into words perfectly, and personally I adore how it sounds sonically as well. A perfect mix of melancholy, loneliness, anger and relief. As for bourgeoisies, I'm not sure if you're familiar with BTS or any of their older work but they have a song called Spine Breaker and the song is about how a lot of young people are so obsessed with "looking" wealthy or being part of the in crowd that they will beg and plead for for their parents to spend hard earned money (ie. spine-breaking work of the lower and middle class) on designer brands and items just so they can get a taste of being in the upper echelon of society. This song made me think of that and I loved the cheeky poking fun at the twisted "grass is always greener" concept. I think that this album is harder for the long term die hard fans to digest because its really different from his stuff in the past but imo a pop artist, especially a solo artist should be able to constantly change, rebrand, experiment with sound and style as many times as they want. Fans are allowed to dislike or prefer a certain era, but if an artist never changes or experiments they run the risk of stagnating their growth and the growth of their fandoms. I probably wouldn't have become a fan recently had he not put this album out, and I'm excited to see what he puts out in the future because now I know he has RANGE and talent overflowing. :) thanks for making such a lovely video!!!

I heard this album for the first time earlier this month, I hadn't heard anything by her up till then and now I know every word to every song and I'm obsessed! She's truly so so SO talented and I'm beyond excited to see her grow, I haven't been this excited about a new artist since I was like 13 and Taylor Swift released her debut album!!!

Im not a drag just a girl, and I dont know if it helps you or not but I use cotton swabs when I try to clear off my mascara from my skin (first wait a few seconds to dry), idk if you knew that trick. For your brows you can use a pencil or brush to measure it and draw your eyebrows bc it can help you with symmetry, check it out on google. I really liked your video btw, I love your humor.
