Shinies are definitely quite the elusive bunch, but a full odds shiny prior to Gen 6 is awesome! I still have yet to get a Shiny in any of those Gens, but I've gotten a fair few full odds in Gens 8 and 9! Congrats on the 2, and may there be more in your future! 🫡

Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily recommend either, but it was a very cool experience! I've never shiny hunted in Gen 7, but SV is definitely a lot easier! This hunt was very rewarding, though!

@@isyaboiskinny gen 8 was the gen i put the most time into shiny hunting. A good 20 hours or so and it was paaaaaaainful. But worth it because im now the thanos of shiny eeveelutions. I have them all

Oh very interesting! I knew that the platypus and echidna fell under that unique classification, but I didn't know the name for it! Monotremes... very cool! Also thank you! It took a lot of time and dedication, but we got there in time! Would not recommend, but would also highly recommend if that makes any sense 😂

All of my diseased Eevees certainly feel special 😂😁 but truly, though, I know there's a lot of discourse within the current shiny hunting scene, but I really do think that all shinies are special! Whether you got them in Platinum or Scarlet, they really are one of a kind!

@isyaboiskinny it certainly feels amazing to know that the shiny we worked hard for is absolutely legit and at full odds. I did that without the shiny charm and using the mesuda method with bulbasaur and a different language ditto.

shuckle is an absolute amazing pokemon. i used it for my bug only playthrough of shield! no pokemon could touch it because of its defenses lmfao. i stalled like 9 turns rock sliding leons charizard

I love SV but we definitely all got spoiled w shinys being crazy in this game 🤣 But it also makes me appreciate the older games and there harder shiny hunts more at the same time too! My most recent hunt was for Joltik in PKMN Black with OG full odds and I found it in under **200*** encounters

I do love the shiny hunting in the new games tbh (aside from there being no sound in SV), but sometimes you just gotta go back in time and suffer through the pain of earlier shiny hunting 😂 watch out for me doing a shiny only run of Emerald or something 😂💯
