Not showing the national anthem that was played in 2008, I see. RLI shouldn't be using the IRFU-commissioned 'Ireland's Call', in light of the history of oppression and belittling. Use the national anthem - or, if that is too divisive, use another song such as 'Danny Boy'. No need to advertise for a code that looks down upon and despises RL. In fact, playing 'Ireland's Call' shows a distinct lack of pride and awareness.

Damn....doesnt look like they're raking the ball with their foot in the play the ball. PS, I would've picked the two big boppers as MOTM, Bobby Hunter took more than two players to tackle him, those two tired the opposition which is why Ireland had nothing in the tank for their attack.

The Irish were the most difficult opponent the Kumuls had to encounter on their way into the quarterfinals in 2017 RLWC. This was compounded also by the high number of errors by the kumuls which made it difficult for them to score. It was a nice game to watch anyway.

funny how at the start of the commentary they were suggesting the trophy should go to Australia already as its a forgone conclusion that the Kangaroos will win the World Cup. As we now know, the Kiwis pulled off a major upset in the final.

Such a shame to see what's happened to rugby league in Ireland. Go back 9+ years ago and we had a fantastic high quality competition. Limerick and Carlow had 2 cracking teams with some good competition from, eagles, exiles, tullamore Kildare, plus some more coming through. There was a great proposal from Limerick to enter an Irish team in to division 1 in England. Had sponsorship, a ground and plenty of players were committed to travel down to play. Unfortunately those running the game in Ireland destroyed it, what an atrocious standard this final is, wouldn't have got within 50 points of Limerick or Carlow.
