quick question, if you see this and are inclined to answer- have you changed your perspective on michael harding watercolors? I dismissed them at first but now am getting intrigued again, but I besides the vivid pigment load, I don't see much in the line that warrants the price in the US. But everyone just RAVES about them, so being the watercolor collector I am (already have m graham and d smith and a gallo and sennelier and schmincke...) I am tempted. But not if they don't bring anything new to the mix- I am getting tired of collecting products that are decent but basically offer nothing unique to my collection. I'm now more interested in unique colors or mixes or qualities... Just wondering about how you are feeling on those paints a year later.

The markers are so pretty

Your painting turned out very pretty Stephanie. I don't know if I'd have the patience level to do this type of artwork though. Multiple colored pencil layers and watercolors with their drying time, are slow mediums for me. Oil pastels would take me forever to pull a picture together, lol!

Your duck painting is vibrant and charming! I don’t want to go through the learning process in art I want to just paint. Also, for me at least, I know a decent drawing is necessary for successful painting. I’m not at the stage where I can freehand a successful painting. My nemesis are leaves. I’ll happily draw and paint a flower, but leaves…. argh I avoid leaves, or I’ll paint a leaf without much detail.

Thank you for another great video, Stephanie! I wanted to lyk that I caught a video with a hack for being able to blend with acrylic markers on paper. (Spoiler: spraying a few layers of KRYLON Kamar varnish on the page first.). Think I saw it on “Coloring Bliss” sometime at dark o’clock, in case you ever wanted to do a bigger piece or non-TV Time sketching (nothing wrong with that)! Love the artwork, especially the owl. It’s so interesting to see how oil pastels and acrylic paint works compared to watercolors. With watercolor got to remember to save the highlights but that’s not an issue with oils or acrylics.
