MT Um El Faroud
An excellent few days spent with TC DiveStory after his week of diving at the 3rd Divesoft Liberty Summit on Gozo.
We visited the MT Faroud wreck in Malta to take a look at some of the inner rooms and to enjoy riding our DPVs while clearing our deco!
Great to revisit the wreck with Mark Puglisevich and DIVErse SCUBA Solutions after our last dive here almost a year ago - carrying the 4 cylinders was easier this time around with our Dive Xtras BlackTip Tech DPVs 😎

Blue Hole to Tal-Barba Cave

An excellent few days spent with TC DiveStory after his week of diving at the 3rd Divesoft Liberty Summit on Gozo. . From the Inland Sea we drove over to the Blue Hole to explore some of the cracks and tunnels made from the fallen Azure Window and then made our way back to Whale and Tal-Barba Cave where there is a halocline and thermocline at the end which encouraged us to head home - ha ha! Gr...
Total Sidemount System : Cleaning Up

Collecting my decompression cylinder and DPV after some awesome wreck diving on the Um El Faroud Shipwreck in Malta. I am really enjoying the SUMP UK & YHS Total Sidemount System, and the rig handles the stage cylinders and scooter no problem 😎 I will show some of the inside of the wreck next time 🙂
Total Sidemount System : Hanging Around

Just hanging around on a stop after an awesome dive on the Um El Faroud Shipwreck in Malta. I am really enjoying the SUMP UK Total Sidemount System, and the rig feels great when adding a fourth tank. I will show some of the dive next time :-)
MT Hephaestus

An excellent few days spent with TC DiveStory after his week of diving at the 3rd Divesoft Liberty Summit on Gozo. We visited the MT Hephaestus wreck to take a look at some of the deeper rooms and also to enjoy riding our DPVs along the Xatt l-Ahmar reef to Middle Finger while clearing an hour of deco! Great to revisit the wreck with Mark Puglisevich after our first dive on wreck a few days aft...
Total Sidemount System : Setup, Part 6
zhlédnutí 772Před 9 měsíci
Here is part six of a series of videos looking at setting up the Total Sidemount System from SUMP UK and YUHSIN System In this part I look at changing the H style harness to better work with Aluminium cylinders that require more space on the waist band and a Y style harness is more suitable. Stay tuned for the next parts of the setup 🤓

Playing around with some extra cylinders on a safety stop after a day of cylinder handling on Day 5 of a @Sidemounting Sidemount Essentials program. I've made several 3 cylinder dives already in the Sump UK Total Sidemount System, and of course I wanted to see how the rig felt when adding a fourth tank. The 4th cylinder was from the other diver and not actually setup for me, but still performed...

A final dive for this trip to see some of the promising leads at around the 600m mark. We had spotted some interesting jump lines on our previous dives, and so we decided to check a few out in preparation for another trip 😎 Since there was a chance of some "low" vis, I was insistent that Lucas from @iamsubmarine make sure we practised on land how we would handle it 🤣

A little bit of a mission for the dive today - returning to the major restriction at around 900m for more filming. There are 5 T Junctions and a stage cylinder drop to get on with before we arrived. This time we wanted to no mount the cylinders to pass more easily. It is more work to prepare the cylinders for this, but then much easier to pass smaller restrictions. We deliberately do not show t...

Mixing it up today and taking a look at the CT-12 sea cave in the area. A different feeling and nice to have the vis affected by sand and not silt this time 🤣 We opted for the "sidemount only" entrance, so the back mount teams could take the larger entrance 😏 Great to have Lucas from @iamsubmarine for this one
Total Sidemount System : Setup, Part 5
zhlédnutí 652Před 9 měsíci
Here is part five of a series of videos looking at setting up the Total Sidemount System from SUMP UK and YUHSIN System In this part I look at adding a cannister lamp to the unit with some options for securing the cord. Stay tuned for the next parts of the setup 🤓
Will it Fit?

Some of the great things about my SUMP UK Explorer Wing are that it is low profile and stands up to a few scrapes when you just have to see if you will fit in that hole! A day out to see the P31 wreck and some of the smaller spaces inside 🧐

Switching gears today to get further up the main line and through one of the major restrictions that leads to a completely new feeling cave 😁 This is definitely a multi stage dive to get beyond the 900m mark - or time for a DPV..... Thanks to Lucas from @iamsubmarine for the "briefing" 😏

Taking an extra cylinder to get further into the system today. Just as well because the other teams were running lost line drills today, so getting away from the silt (for a change) in the first section seemed smart. Took a look around the Labrynth section and had the pleasure of dropping ALL my markers - the clue was in the name! Thanks to Lucas from @iamsubmarine for the filming today 😎

Thanks for the, tip very useful, keep them coming!
Thanks for this type of videos. Great explication.👏👏👏
Brilliant! I am going to do this to my K1 and then to my new XDeep when I get it next week.
Really nice job guys! And I love the contrast you showed @0:43... how NOT to do it lol
Need to buy a new Dive Computer, which of the two you would recommend better?
Very intersting video.Could you let me know what is the purpose of the series of small double holes on the left shoulder webbing? Best regards
This is fantastic! Is there a way to tie the knots so as to leave a loop at the back in one of the bungees? I like to hold the fins on my finger to climb the ladder back to the boat.
location of this cavern please?
Looks cool, where would I buy one?
"I'm just not a big fan of having the nuts out on display" 😂🤣😂
Well, for male yes, but for female diver like my girlfriend who’s weight is only 50kg, Razor wing will be too small as she’ll need so many buoyancy just to lift her up is using high pressure steel cylinder, that’s what we found when she was using LP50 in Florida
looks fun 🙌
Some great images there Vas! When are you heading down here to the Sthn hemisphere to teach us poor sods to get our SM rigs, DPVs and drysuits all synchronised in such harmony? :)
May I ask where you got the tri glider that has lower center section. Webbing looked really tidy when done
Mr. Seda is such a awesome person to dive and hang out with!
Great video! Nice to see some setting up and a bit of computer. Just helps appreciate whats involved. 👍
Excelent video tank you!! I have a question, do you know the name os this knot?
Will you get the new sliding d-rings from Sump UK also? it would be nice hear how they works compare to Dive-rite you are using now
Great trim !
Great to watch, but a lot of air in that drysuit hey? Looks very warm & comfy... compared to all the skin-creases I usually come out of the water with :)
Hey
Hi, sorry, this us neither a save nor a stable way to attach the cannister or the argon bottle. Best wishes from Wuppertal/ Germany ><>Lutz
Looks like a bit better vis than when we were trying to locate her 😅
I'm moaned about the flicking in the pictures. Last time, this one's perfect. Watch the whole thing and loved it.
Badass.....
Please explain wtf I watched
very nice
Brutal!
Multi gas computers are Great.Having enough gas is better
The new wing is looking very sleek and low-profile. Great vid, thanks. 👍
Beautiful 😍
😖As soon as there is a slack/loose loop....there will be nowhere to put it.
Great video !!!!! Keep them coming
That’s the stuff you want to learn but can’t get in class
I love your channel, but I can't watch videos flick On those occasions, I get 10 seconds into the video and have to stop watching.
how do you purchase this setup and what is the cost? it doesnt appear they have a website
Finally a new type of sliding D ring. How do they compare to the Dive Rite's and others you have used?
A more complete review will follow after more dives - otherwise, it is not fair to compare something I've used for 3+ years vs something for just one dive :-) So far so good as you can see though :-)
Very nice, what are you using for lift?
Hi, there is a very slick wing to be added in Part 4 - czcams.com/video/LscYYv7lNes/video.html You can see the "unboxing" here also : czcams.com/video/Azp-CklXjyI/video.html It is a very cool wing for sure :-)
Very good explanation
Thank you :-)
Yet another banger of a video!
Didn't know there was cheap nightclub music down those flooded caves 🙄 Must be disturbing to stay focused 🧵🧭
Looks a little 'loose' in there. As ever great video.
why not just use a plastic cable tie? installed in seconds and cheaper too
They will become brittle eventually and can break easily if you twist them. I personally tie on items that will be lost with a single point of failure (I.e. flashlights will fall from your harness) and zip tie items that will still be attached (i.e. an extra regulator attached to my necklace but is still attached via it's hose).
It's a good question and I think it is mostly because I want to reduce plastic where I can - and also, should it break, I don't want plastic left in the water. I agree they are quick and easy, but that's perhaps not a good enough reason to use them.
Nice video Vas. Can't wait to play with this hardware myself.
Been looking for a video like this
Hi, there are about 3 or 4 more to follow for the setup series - stand by :-)
@@DiverbyDesign got to watch them all
Thx Vas. Great video. Tiny bit tricky with black on black but still could see most of it
I think if you were a real diver you would go no mount but side is okay
Great video, music too much
I miss those cave diving days!
I can't wait to see it put together. What does it retail for? I'm diving the Xdeep tec at the moment.
Hi, hope you are watching the setup series. For the pricing, then I would need to find out from Sump UK.
@@DiverbyDesign I have really been enjoying the series. I'm looking forward to seeing you dive it and hearing your feedback.
Consider a clove hitch. It's used a lot in climbing and would be a good alternative to a fisherman's knot. You can adjust the hitch on the fly and it's less clutter.
Hi, sounds great. Do you have an example you can show us?
@@DiverbyDesign czcams.com/video/a58xEj9EG4c/video.html
