@@grandeferr5749 Thanks for stopping by, Andrea! Yea that totally makes sense, and it does seem that the deck has worked out well for you. Personally I’m quite interested in the list, especially since I love the design of 10th Angel. Honestly, quite a feat that you managed to pull that out twice when it’s one copy in your deck. I was actually wondering while I was recording, do you not feel having enough draws for the deck? Or it’s actually enough with all the Naumanngard in there. Either way, I’ll keep your comment in mind when I edit the final games. Thanks again for everything!

​​​@@AyumuBSseminarthank you for the answer, i'll try to answer your questions as well :) The "original" lists was composed of 60 cards, the idea was to build a deck that can win against Hydra and play around his mill and have enough cards to stall and mill ira. It initially had 8x of the bounce spell, 4 sbd and 4 sd and the fourth copy of the cost 0. I ended second in the store regional with ~ 25-28 people a week b4 the Milan GOs, losing only against green aggro (3 games in a row without shield/suppression). After the tournament i noticed that, the Key cards were too diluited in a 60 cards deck. So i tried to cut off as much as card as possibile, but in the process of doing so i cut all the cards stated above and half of It, were drawing cards. I only playtested the "new" lists 1 evening before the big tournament, and due to very few testing I was wrongly convinced that the draw engine was enough. Matter of fact, during the 7 turns of swiss i had a lot of losses due to horrible hand starts and no way to fix it after the mulligan. So i had some wasted turn were I just draw and pass :( Thankfully the change didnt modify the play style which i was accostumed to. So i could play as I tested with the old 60 cards list. Btw after the big tournament I talked to nimer and his crew to improve the lists even more. I welcome criticism if it's done in the correct way. Having multiple people questioning every choice you made helps you building better lists. That's definitely something I miss in my local. Don't get me wrong, we help a lot, but in regards of deckbuilding we dont do in depht discussions like them :( Sorry for the looong answer, hope it helps! See ya!

If you want to continue to have more in-depth discussions, it might be worth for you to join one of the groups, or even start one up yourself, even if it's just online. The different views from other players always help.

I think the card is worth being limited to 1, since Blue have ways to bring it back anyway, but yea I do think banning it might be overkill

Labyrinth only covers the condition listed in the red box of Ascend. Ascend itself is what I’d labelled as a “keyword effect” (unofficial term). Nova’s summon effect is a, well, summon effect, so it’s completely separate to the Ascend keyword, the “Siegwurm card” condition within Nova’s summon effect is a “conditional event” (official term from 8-1-5-1 in CR) that has to be fulfilled for the summon effect to trigger. Labyrinth can’t cover for the summon effect. TLDR: The “Siegwurm card” is a condition for Nova’s summon effect, which is an effect separate/unrelated to the Ascend keyword, hence Labyrinth doesn’t bother with it.

People from different backgrounds put their attentions on different aspects of the game, so there will always be people confused about things that others understand perfectly fine. Or, you know, they're just not well-informed. Saga itself is a fairly complicated game, with its rules practically scattered everywhere because Bandai doesn't do their job right. So my purposes of these videos aren't just to inform obscured rulings, but to also collect all rules of the same topic and compile them into one video for easier access of information.

Yeah, ultimately Hydra is a highroll deck. If it has smooth hands, then it can’t be helped. But in general, if your deck has prepared for it, it’s still pretty easy to counter it. I know there were enough Hydras in Wolverhampton that mirror games had occurred, but you can see how people have successfully countered Hydra when only 2 of them entered top 8. Ira in general is just such a versatile card that you can build so many versions of decks around it. It’s equally as dangerous as Hydra.

@@AyumuBSseminar I do think that hydra is a perfect example of a card that people are making worse by playing around it. It's really strong as a deck, but it's gonna be at its best once more players are wiling to just put it *into* a deck of just blue good stuff

Sure thing! I'll try to get that up in two weeks time! But also I'll resolve your question on the spot. The Hydra player has done nothing wrong. This was confirmed with Q474 for Labyrinth. You resolve Labyrinth when you show Hydra, and then since Labyrinth has already fulfilled its role at that point, you can use the cores on Labyrinth to pay for Hydra's summon cost or putting onto Hydra as maintenance cost.

Thank you~ Yea, a lot of the concepts from the JP cards are actually spawned by invited guests on shows, instead of directly coming out of the development team, so a lot of them have interesting references behind.

It was just a thing in Saga. The fuse never happened in JP, nor did Ira exist in JP (instead, the Red "Voidlord" was called Catastrophe-Dragon)

Well, there's also the fact that he's playing 53 cards in main deck, so those extra 3 cards definitely contribute to the slow draws a little bit, but yes, I do agree that the Gale deck in general is just a pretty highroll deck, and I suppose that's one of its balances for the very high power top end.

@@AyumuBSseminar It was 53 so that Game 1 i have Bearded eagle for genbu, g2/3 against non-genbu decks i sided down to 50, but yeah even with all that draw power you gotta see the combo -.-

@@jarrapennington3716 Thx for the insight. That game was definitely pretty unfortunate. Even for a Gale deck it took too much of a long time for you to set up, and I remember you were stuck with 3 Yaegers in hand at one point as well. But your point intrigues me, because I'm sure your side deck can't go over 10 cards at any time, so you shouldn't be possible to side down to 50 cards unless you're holding a 7-card sideboard right from the start.

I asked the judges at the event if i could side out down to 50 and have a side deck above 10 and they said as long as the main deck was a legal size then that was fine to do, so gotta trust the judges at that point, they may have been incorrect but that was how it was ruled when i asked haha@@AyumuBSseminar

@@jarrapennington3716 I see, if it was by a judge from the event, then there's nothing to be said. But yes, just a reminder that according to the tournament rules, your main deck has to always be between 50-60, with the side deck no more than 10. Either way, once again, well done in the tournament. It wasn't easy to get into top 4.

It's a list which had been tested since before the Wave 2 Pro Tour. I was one of the testing partners for the deck. I think originally they did put Hippocampo, but later on decided that Worker Antman just worked better.
