I feel like our generation of men don’t know how to provide or protect because they actually lack masculine energy because they didn’t see that growing up. So I think that also falls into the topic of most of them having mothers who enabled them and did everything for them so they never really saw a man lead and provide for the family.

Sacrificing to me is settling.(funny yall talked about this as I was writing this whole comment) I feel like there’s a lot of give and go in a relationship! There’s some days where one partner can’t give 100% and the other picks up the slack and some days where the slack is just sitting and yall gotta pick it up later TOGETHER😂… that communication is K E Y. Everyone talks about how important it is but when the going gets tough, people kind of just succumb to their insecurities and/or fear of some kind of embarrassment… What’s weird too is when good communication is being utilized, we’re always surprised😂 like “oh shit, this feels good to do.. we should do this more often!” I never really saw my parents communicate their feelings to one another and if they did it was always in an upsetting or angry setting lol Yo when I’m at work, being 28 now (30 is about that step parent point these days btw😂) and working with a lot of people younger than me and a handful older than me… the older people who are single all definitely feel like they’re on a clock and I always tell them if it doesn’t feel right not to settle or give so much to people who don’t deserve it. We’re all on a journey, we have to do this shit our way.😂 I honestly haven’t shit myself since like football in highschool🫡 I’m too grown to feel pressure from anyone or anything not to take a shit before I go anywhere or do anything😂😂😂
