A Capella Hymn: He Loves Me -notes only.wmv
Bruner Family - we grew up singing shape notes; that is the way in which our parents taught us to learn new hymns; "learn the notes first"; "then the time". More on our CD, A Tribute to Our Parents" Vol. 1

Sounds so beautiful
Amen
My husband and I and our son are shaped note singing school teachers, this video is such a blessing, love it.
I LOVE this version of this song! Great job!
i almost scrolled by without stopping....shame on me.....great sound and it truly won't be very long
Nice
This is one of my all-time favorite hymns. He Loves Me.
Hello George! I'm Roger, and so glad to hear from you. Yes, this is a favorite because of the "ties" to your father with our parents, as Morgan married not only Mom & Dad, but several other relatives. I was wondering, did Morgan write any other hymns? If so, I'd love to know of (and learn) them. Your sister, "Big" Pearl, as we knew her spent many nights in our home and one of my sisters was named for her, (hence the distinction of Pearl and 'big' Pearl). Hope to hear from you again!
I just received a wonderful blessing. I surfed onto the video of your family singing this song. I think you did a fantastic job with it. My dad, Morgan Williams, would be proud. God bless, George Williams
great harmony!
Beautiful song but sadly they all look bored stiff
thank you indianapentecostal123; you have a good 'ear' for music...so many (in principle) do the same thing with Christ's teachings...
Pretty..went from G to F..
tell the blode in front to either sing or quit digging in her nose if she is too embarassed to sing in front of a camera get her out of the scene
@slingbladeNC send $10.00 check or money order to: Roger Bruner P. O. Box 865 London, KY 40743 with your name & address. We will mail you one.
thanks for your kind words!
finally a version with the bass from the start and without instruments the way my church sings it! thank you :D
no, we are not primitive baptists, and may I ask, what is a 'primitive' baptist? Haven't read of that anywhere in the bible.
are y'all primitive baptists? we sang this song out of the "old school hymnal" at church.
Thanks for sharing this. We sing this at home and in church meetings too.
@firefighter40ish thanks for your comment; actually, two CD's were made (at Mom's request) last year, which were favorites of her and our late father. One CD was by some of her children, and the other by her grand-children and great-grand-children, the latter at the new Renfro Valley Barn stage. We plan to do another recording there this summer, and will take Mom and do some 'shape note only' singing, which is what we enjoy doing (i.e. just singing the notes - do, re, mi, etc.) Thanks again
Plans are to do that very thing this summer. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your kind words!
Amen!
The words of this hymn were written by Morgan Williams; he married Mom & Dad, July 30, 1933. They were married for 72 years!
@onejazzdrummer - thanks for your kind words; actually at the time of this "video-ing" it was not foreseen that "CZcams-ing" would be done. I was just playing around, seeing if I could put something on youtube. I was a novice and my wife, (who did the videoing) was somewhat of a novice as well; she just wanted to get everyone's face on the tape. Still don't have an iota of who you are or how you know us, unless you once attended or visited w/us. Maybe we'll do another w/your ideas!
Fantastic! Reminds me of a great group of simple, New Testament Christians I once knew back in London KY...matter of fact, maybe that's who they are! Suggestion to camera person: Start from left (or right) and scan very slowly, getting everybody. Zoom slowly onto the leader and perhaps a few others, but keep the camera moving very, very slowly. Fantastic, otherwise!
