Davit launch is slower but is designed for a safer way down if you have time. They can also be used as throw overboard as the video says, which is a much faster way if you have no time, but comes with more risk. Just saying.

Many strike boats on the way down, puncturing them. How about this? Boat hooks face outwards and shells are stationary. When clamps are engaged and davit is rotated 90°, the boat is pulled from the shell and inflated automatically. Inflation is safely executed away from the deck. Bruh. Someone's "emergency preparedness" masters degree holding daughter got a free job and designed this deathtrap.

Thank you for posting, but honestly why would someone design such a complicated mechanism for launching a life raft. Manual throwing is so much easier. Why would the company which made this life raft launching mechanism, want to make something like this ? I am very curious to know ?
