The polar alignment process has been driving me nuts with my telescope lol, and now i'm fairly sure that it's the telescope's fault - I think my declination scale is incorrectly positioned. My manual says position it at 90 degrees but I think it should be more like 10/11 based on the scale, is this wrong? i.imgur.com/C0NVgKi.jpeg

What do I do if everything looks like it’s all upside down? I have a celestron powerseeker 127 EQ and when I set it all up everything is inverted. I tried looking at a far away house and the roof was on the bottom and the windows were on top. I don’t know what I did wrong

Thank you , I just got the Stellarium app and I'm excited to be able to do some stargazing ! Update , I managed to see Jupiter and its moons , the Stellarium ap helped me to confirm it was Jupiter from the position of the moons , it's a great app!, Mars , Betelgeuse , and the Orion nebula with many stars contained in it . What I think is incredible is how easily it is possible to look at stars with the naked eye as opposed to how delicate the operation of finding them with the telescope and how quickly they move away from the centre of the scope .

2:27: is it possible I see my eyelashes when I look into the scope? What's wrong?

Like your approach to giving a tour with stellarium and simulating finder scope - then scope - all very clear - I have a Celestron powerseeker 127mm - got for birthday - and your video on setup - helped me too. But thinking I maybe need to invest in a better scope to see what you simulated with the Polaris 130mm - seems like the mount is real shaky too - so hard to use lots of magnification - like your idea of using binoculars to start out too - will get some along with that trigger mount. Any suggestions on how I can soup up my Celestron - to not be frustrated finding your objects? I have around a 2K budget - thanks again - you have a relaxing way of teaching...looking forward to your next sky tour!
