Hey @JimMason I am a producer for MTV’s Ridiculousness. May I use your video on our show? 😂
Skiers fault for existing
Is it possible he tried to avoid the skier on the right and did NOT see the skier below?
Why you should wear a helmet☝️🤓🤓
As a snowboarder so no bias he should’ve predicted that he was going to turn like that and hitting an elderly person at that speed can put them in the emergency room should’ve just went on a black run or harder to fit his level of riding
plus dont go that fast if you cant control your speed

Skiers fault for sure 😂 what a 🍑
That's not negligence on the snowboarder. He is clearly trying to come down and the skier is hogging the whole spot swerving side to side. The snowboarder couldn't even avoid the guy which clearly you see he is trying but someone on SKI'S needs to go side to side like he is the only one using the hill.
Did he do it on purpose
Stopping in the middle and not checking uphill before starting downhill?
I got hit from behind by an Aussie snowboarder at Lake Louise, years back. I appeared to be alone on the trail,( it really was pretty empty),and the next thing I saw was a beautiful blue ski. I didn’t even hear him so I didn’t tense up. That’s what saved me from any injury( I was 50 when it happened). He screamed” are you okay”? I assured him I was but pleaded with him to slow down(because I knew he didn’t have the skills). He was mortified, the poor kid.
Allways check the silent one first.
The skieer in the red laying in the snow howling like a sissy......😂
F'er's do it all the time...
Arriving late but F that, it was the skiers fault for snaking over the entire run at slow speed.
Skiers fault.
"UUAAHH AAHHH AAAAOOWWWHH AAAAUUUUHHH" absolute bars 🔥🔥
the fact that she didn’t care about the one thats not moving
What scares me the most are the comments. I've been skiing for 57yrs and riding for 25yrs, and in this case, the skier is 100% innocent, and the rider is 100% at fault. The skier is not taking up the whole slope, he's making regular-sized and reasonable turns on the right 2/3rds of the groomed area. He's crying because he was completely blindsided, and probably has broken ribs if not worse. The rider is going way too fast, and makes a bad/stupid decision to pass on the right, seems to have 2nd thoughts (watch it in slo-mo) and catches his edge and clouts the skier. He, at least, has time to prep for the collision. Just an odd decision to go to the right. He passes the camera person on the left, and she's behind the downhill skier, so why the boarder decides to pass the skier on the right is just and odd and a bad choice. He should have stayed completely to the left where there was tons of room. Of course, he's just laying there thinking about his future. He's likely fine, because he had time to prep for the collision, unlike the skier. The comments about the boarder being more injured, and the skier taking up the whole slope are just crazy, when the video evidence is right there. Makes you wonder about people's skill level and makes me even more concerned about safety on the slopes. I've gotten 51 days in this year, and I wear a padded backpack, which would help in a blindside hit from behind. It's crazy out there even when there's no one on the slopes!
Anyone hitting you from behind is negligent! DAAAAAAAA
I think you are supposed to look uphill and yield before you start out going down the trail. The guy that got hit didn't look at all. The camera person looks, but only after starting down the trail. It is possible to be downhill and not have right of way.
It's the one making no sounds or movements that you should check on first. Not the one screaming and ambulant
Thats a criminal charge in addition to financial responsibility in my state of CO. You can tell the boarder has little to no skill for those speeds. Looked easily avoidable.
The ribs most likely are broken and the broken rib can incrustate the lung or heart, its better to NOT move!
Shit😂
Having been hit by an out of control skier (required shoulder surgery) this was hard to watch! No matter what anyone says, here, this is absolutely the uphill rider's (boarder, in this case) fault!! THE UPHILL RIDER HAS A LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY TO AVOID THE DOWNHILL RIDER!! (Think law suit and possibly criminal neglect charges.) Those on this thread who do not understand this or make light of what happened, here, don't belong on the mountain!!! (Given the speed, my guess is both had significant injuries!) It's also the reason I feel far safer on blacks and double blacks than on blues!!! Just fewer people riding beyond their abilities, not to mention fewer fools in general!
This is why we have laws of the slopes, oh wait. Having said that, alternating paths is the nature of snowboarding, and many of the these slopes are so narrow, he can hardly be blamed for that collision, we've all been there. It's statistically inevitable that we all collide like this in many instances.
Criminal malfeasance by the snowboarder
Entirely on the skier. He is taking up the entire slope with his carving. You can see the snowboarder angling to the left to not collide with the skier, only for the skier to go ALL the way to the left. Snowboarder then tries going right only for the skier to go ALL the way to the right. If you are that unskilled and taking up that much of the run then you are at fault since no one behind you can yield to you when you are deliberately blocking the entire run. Also love how the skiers are standing near the center of a tight run. Great spot to stand.
It was a MONSTER blindside hit. I have made dozens of them in lacrosse and football and have eaten a few too. You fools that say the skiier is faking have never made or taken a huge hit. You are all a bunch of bitches no matter is between your legs. You girls have an excuse for being pussies. You guys are pathetic losers.
In co this boarder is personally responsible for any medical bills,no? This was a disgrace if you’re about to hit someone you go down first intentionally
I’m sure it hurt but damn that sounded dramatic AF
That’s a problem it’s called out of control Eye hand coordination he was looking where he end up right in the middle of that older man’s back Sorry for that Sir
camera woman actually did her job and just filmed, didnt try to help or nothing lol
I mean the snowboard was at fault (I've had this happen to me plenty - sadly, kind of humanities fault for doing stupid shit like sliding down snow with sticks on our legs) but the way that guy reacted with the moans had me in stitches lol.
this has happened to me where a snowboarder just crashes from behind and he had a lot of room.
It for reall does not mather if your a snowboarder or skier, just learn to turn and go slow.
i hate snowboarders
"are you okay?" *Narrator: He, in fact, was not okay.*
I love the bit at 0:!5 where the women just does absolutely nothing to help the situation!
It kills me how the skier looks at the camera while carrying on like a three-year-old. "Are you getting this? It'll be important for the lawsuit."
This is why you should always where a helmet. They have nothing to do with ability when there’s idiots racing around out of control everywhere.
Your responsibility code for all skiers/snowboarders: 1. Always ski in control. You must be able to stop or avoid people and objects. 2. People ahead of you have the right-of- way. You must avoid them. The Snowboarder violated the first two rules of the responsibility code. The skier was not starting out or entering a trail and was under no obligation to look behind him for approaching skiers or snowboarders. Many people are making up rules that don’t exist in any known responsibility code. In any case, you can expect to find the two above rules as coming first in any known responsibility code for skiing/snowboarding.
Ski beginners using every inch of the slope... Just stay on one side, allowing advanced participants to pass.
Skiier took that like a little bitch. Man the fuck up
Definitely need to use his moaning as a sound effect in a ghost video
Wait.. snowboards STILL don't have breaks??
Totally the boarders fault but if you want avoid getting hit from behind, don’t stop in the middle of a run. You don’t see people stopping on the highway just start swerving from right to left at 5 miles per hour. You don’t pull out in front of traffic without looking when you drive so why would you do that on a ski slopes.
Two things: 1. YOU are responsible for the people in front of you on the slope, it’s not about skiers vs snowboarders. In this case the snowboarder was at fault because he had the whole run to himself yet still managed to hit the one guy. Not about him being a snowboarder, just about who is downhill of you. 2. While I agree the snowboarder was the one to blame, JESUS is the skier fucking DRAMATIC Side note: while I don’t think ski buddy there was being completely serious, he is an older guy and it’s certainly possible something could’ve been more easily hurt in that scenario than a younger rider. And also people all express pain differently- however, this is a little too comical looking I think lol. My thoughts: this is either some type of prank video, or is completely real as well as the reactions and in which case both hilarious but also kind of annoying, or three, this is real but the guy who was skiing totally overreacted on purpose because he has a stigma against snowboarders lol.
