There should be something in the town centre about Southport FC letting people know about it or even a painting representing Southport FC

Southport fc engage with around 1% of the towns population. That will need to improve dramatically going forward. The 1998 fa trophy final and the 2015 tie against Derby county shows what can be achieved when the town’s population do engage with the football club. Aspirations - the buzzword of this forum. Bournemouth & Brighton both seaside resorts both regular opponents back in the day. both achieving amazing success. An aspiration too high?

Sustainable growth is the sensible way forward. If you look at whats happening at Nuneaton. Ground owned by a company which is not interested in football. A club in debt , still spending beyond its means. It could be playing its last game this weekend a home game at Stratford! A cover over the poplar would be great but the new owner was at least honest if it can be done.
