Was great hanging out at your booth and jamming with you guys! You make some really great products.
Does Xjet make and supply the colloidal metals or is it sourced from 3 party ?
Yes we do supply the Inks with the nonoparticles inside the liquid
@@XJETNPJ so theoretically it could be used to print jewelry with nano Gold, silver etc ?
Can this print semi-conductor material?
More?
We are Han's laser in China,we have show big interest in your metal 3d printer! Do you have Demo metal machine in China? please send more details about this metal 3d printer luozl129745@hanslaser.com
what is the biggest building size of your metal 3d printer?are there any metal 3d printer in China? How to purchase your metal 3d printer?
What type is ceramic is it? Looks like porcelain
Hi, It's Alumina and Zirconia

Wow good to see new technology NJP in metal AM market! Want to know more about this printer and the behind engineers and team.
Happy birthday, Haim Levi!
This is really high end. Impressive!
Multi material printer was something that I was always looking forward to see ever since I first saw the Xjet printer. Such a multi material printer can be used to make remarkable products like super capacitors, batteries, rocket engines just to name a few. Great job Xjet team, I would like to know if it is limited to just two materials or can it go beyond two materials?
Thanks Anil. The direct jetting approach allows the jetting of large number of materials at the same time. Today by using build and support structures it overcomes many challenges of complex geometries. The real challenge for more than one build material (two or many) is not in the printing itself but in the needed sintering.
Please talk about applications for humanoïd robots like atlas from boston dynamics! czcams.com/video/iZD6hkRwZKM/video.html
Wooow I just see 3D printing nerd and I directly jump to see theses technology’s it’s amazing things to do with it hope price will be the same
Can you print closed cells structures like this? czcams.com/video/dRpyM3a4Wj8/video.html
Why the team behind one of the best 3d printer in the world used shitty vr helmets? xD
hi, The oculus helmets were great and work very well. try them.
@@XJETNPJ Try the pimax 8k (X) next year and the starvr one !
Can you make your printer works under very high pressure? Like that you will be able to print pressurized closed cells metal FOAM
I blown away by this technology! Really impressive capabilities.
Dude, can you print monocristal whith this? Can you print a big fucking diamond like if it was ceramic?
Start with dental!
the pressure of a droplet is 2 times the surface tension / the radius so the diameter of a droplet with a pressure of 1000 bar is (1000*100000/2/(72.8*10^-3))^-1*2 = 2.9 nanometers so with high pressure nozzles you can print nanoscaled components.
Can you make optical components like Luxexcel does but with an higher Refractive index using glass and Ceramic instead of plastic?
Excellent point. We do not use reflective ceramics today but in theory, this should not be a problem at all.
desktop metal has single pass jetting, you have multi jetting per pass, awesome!
Are you able to make a mechanical assembly with all the parts already assembled that slide smoothly? that would help to make impossible machines.
True. This is our intention. This is not going to be tomorrow's morning but definitely on the NPJ range of possibilities.
3d printing powder particles agglomerate themselves to make taller particles, but in a liquid the suface tension of the liquid on the particles is so high that it prevent the particles to agglomerate so thinner particles size can be achieved.
I think the particles are so small that the material is slightly sintered when it's printed even if the temperature is far lower than the melting point so it does not need any binder, but i wonder about the mechanical properties as it's printed. I think it's way harder than green and brown parts makes by MIM or binder jetting process, that would allow a safer handling of parts from the printer to the furnace. it would also reduce the shrinkage. After that, the heat treatment is more a recrystallisation of grains than a sintering.
This will compete with both the 3d systems PROX DMP 320 for the layer thickness (2um for the DMP 320) and with the desktop metal production system for the speed !
Like in our Objet days, we do not see this technology as a competition to the great machines that you mentioned but more as a complimentary. We are sure that sometimes this will be "face to face" competition but mostly the market is still huge and allow each to play in a niche that is very large in comparison to the current metal manufacturing market.
how dense is the metal before being sintered? because the fact that you don't used any binder material means that you have no shrinkage at the sintering, in fact the material is sintered in the printer, all you do after that is a recrystallization so there is no shrinkage as for the desktop metal production system? 6:29 half of an answer thanks !
Some more sample parts & showing the process would make for a much more informative video.
Congratulation ! XJET !
Have you thinked about multiscale microlattice? It's ultra lightweight and it obstruct cracks propagation to allow to use hard but fragile material like an ultra strong and ductile material
Sounds promising. Hopefully the density is really high. ExOne manages to get 95%, DMLM/SLM is at about 98-99% as far as I know.
The point is that the density before the sintering is way higher so there will be no shrinkage.
Does the sintering step is carried out in the same equipment?
No, use an Industrial furnace.
How about the step where support material is disintegrated? Also by using industrial furnace?
I think the particles are so small that the material is slightly sintered when it's printed even if the temperature is far lower than the melting point so it does not need any binder, but i wonder about the mechanical properties as it's printed. I think it's way harder than green and brown parts makes by MIM or binder jetting process, that would allow a safer handling of parts from the printer to the furnace. it would also reduce the shrinkage. After that, the heat treatment is more a recrystallisation of grains than a sintering.
Looking forward to see results of the first printers sold.
If this works then it will be huge! EOS, SLM Solutions and Concept Laser should be seriously worried.
