High crime, unaffordable housing, if you do make money you probably work for them government in some way or a contractor for them. Wealthy state yes, but doesn't mean the people are seeing the wealth it's going straight into politicians pockets. Pretty green state other than that, can get pretty humid, nature and wildlife is nice.

Lived in MD the past 6 years after growing up in VA. The state is great if you exclude most of the Baltimore area and everything surrounding DC.
Every time she says North Bethesda I think we should all take a shot. This is really annoying as someone whoâs originally from the area Hilton arms is not North Bethesda North Bethesda does not exist. I did not just pop up on the map in the 1980s that she says is north Bethesda is Rockville except for Hilton arms which is on River Road, PS

did those that have been promising for 2 years rate cuts take into the account credit crunch, recession, and higher unemployment while the government keeps spending as they fight a trade war with China/Russia and anyone doing business with them which doesn't give them the confidence to go buy US treasuries if they didn't have their problems? probably not because the rate cuts people cheering have never bothered to look history of what happens during rate cut cycles. the economy goes down before it goes up and takes a bunch of people's jobs and savings with it.

I grew up in Maryland in Montgomery County. I still have one rental property in MD. I currently live in northern VA. I think MD is a wonderful state. People are nice, the variety of food is great, public schools are excellent, and overall I feel pretty safe in MD. Of course there are parts of Prince Georges County and Baltimore that I avoid, but overall it is a wonderful state. I did not realize how great the state is until I went away to college in North Carolina. Even though I lived in Raleigh, NC (an alleged big city) I figured out that Maryland has so much more to offer with regard to culture, food, nightlife, etc.

Maryland is a very pretty police state.
Maryland cost of living and taxes are too high, left wing polices are ridiculous too. They make it hard to carry a gun (your god given right) and punish self defense. The school system too is nothing but a left wing indoctrination center, i left after being raised here.
Maryland is super expensive. I grew up in the state (Montgomery County) and canât afford to buy my childhood home. Good luck if you come here. And, yes, the traffic sucks.

Property taxes for the same house and lot size in Upper Marlboro vs Bethesda. 5k vs 9k If the extra 4k can get your kids into top colleges, then it's completely worthwhile. But if top colleges aren't the highest priority for your kids, just save your money and live in Upper Marlboro â€
