PACO is smiling from Heaven...
Lynsey buckingham sings at the same time😂
I can't believe the camera man didn't catch that glaring stab of sunlight in the eyes at the start.
Sungha jung!!!
I miss the old guitarplayers of the seventies. Leo Kottke, Harry Sacksioni for excample
Talentos que Dios (el creador eterno) otorga, maravilloso sería que entendieran por que y para que se los delegó. para que le sirvieran a él, le adoraran.
I can understand that TOMMY EMMANUEL is so good that he gave others a chance to be in the list
Playing a tube guitar only relies on strums without a screeching sound, the finger technique is unpleasant to hear even though it is legendary
And everything this guy does Tommy and Phil did first
Debatable Phil keagy and Tommy Emmanuel hold the top 2 spots
Plugged-in guitars should be put in a different category than unplugged instrument as they are really a different instrument.
That scrapping sound that Don Ross gets on the 6th string? Is that deliberate? If not, he wants to control that very flexible left hand thumb.
Wow! Some incredible guitarist here whom I’ve never heard of!
So much open-tuning, tappy, prozac stuff in minor keys. Nope.
So incredibly skilled but each piece more boring than the previous.
Nick drake
you cannot make a flamenco video without paco.
Al di meola who isn’t even a flamenco player and plays with a pick, not no Paco????

Very difficult to tell, oranges from apples !!!! Pedro Gonzalez, amazing inspiration. Absolut modernity od Rollins from the USA and The bridge between the worlds of Poustini from Russia !!!!
www.youtube.com/@jinsankim
wtf? estas tonne from Ukraine
Luca Stricagnoli???
Hört euch mal Stochelo Rosenberg an, einer der Besten, ich glaube besser als alle hier vorgestellten
Harry Sacksioni is my number 1!🙌🏼
At least half of these are half as talented as the others. If you're not plucking the string and also playing the note, you're cheating and taking away from how the guitar is meant to be played. If you're only using one hand, you're doing half the work of the real guitar player. The chick in white at the beginning has no business even being in this video.
Marcin. Only.
Oops! I omitted Mark Knopfler-one of the very best.
There are clearly some very wonderful guitarists in this world, and you have showcased many of them. You omitted Richard Smith from the UK, and Ana Vidovich. Some of the ones you included were unusual, but I wonder how they would do with some of the very difficult pieces played by Ana (and others like her) It is definitely a tough tasks to construct such a list and many will want to include some of their favs.
Holy shit! That pollack is a beast!!!
Dazzling and mesmerizing perhaps to fellow guitarists and enthusiasts whom are attracted to novelty, but as a 50 year+ fingerstyle veteran well versed in styles from classical, bossa, jazz, flamenco, blues, pop, ragtime, swing, etc from players ranging from Tarrega to Chet, Charlie Byrd to Tommy Emmanuel, literally hundreds of popular and obscure guitarists - I find Most these so-called greatest 'put on a pedestal and worshipped' featured here quite forgettable. Seems if you have flashy technique, heavy signal processing, or striking timbre, impressionable minds equate it with greatness. ALL of the originals here lack a melodic hook strong enough to compete with many unsophisticated artists catchier pop songs, and I am sorry, most monster guitar players excel ONLY at performing OTHER'S compositions, and are hard pressed to compose an instrumental equally as compelling as their arrangements and covers of OTHER composer's works, sorry Tommy and the rest. Great melody, harmony, rhythms, lyrics, and arrangements makes 'greatest' - something younger generations SEVERELY lacking. They pick one or two and feel entitled to some crown. Play fast n flashy like yngwie or carl verheyens well good for you, but count on one hand great original compositions they have had not riddled with combined plagiarized lines. Found a few Adrian Legg originals like Kinvarra's Child that are flawless beauties, as much as I love Emmanuels playing, have yet to find one single compareably compelling original. MOST COVERS IN THIS VID ARE NOTHING SPECIAL ANY COMPETENT FINGERSTYLIST SHOULD ALREADY B SOUNDING LIKE IN THEIR ARSENAL OF ARRANGEMENTS. If you praise and chase technique above catchy, tasteful ,original songwriting with impressive instrumentation, I am surprised you did not include Emre Sabuncuogu of LAGA, Lucas Brar, Tony Rowden from the UK, or Gabriel solo guitar, as they seem every bit the technical virtuoso of ANY in your vid, AND THEN SOME, but then again, great at playing other's works, and like those in the video, not so great at writing anything as good, or better themselves...
dudes got a hat
Wow. 😊
Maybe I don't know enough about this style, but what about Tim Henson?
And Jon Gomm.
And Ewan Dobson.
Antoine Dufour👍👏
Lucas Romero is the guitarist in the thumbnail but somehow didn't make it to the video itself, which is heresy. He even inherited Manitas de Plata's guitar!
Why isn't there a link for each one these awesome guitarist?
