Keep the clothes if they fit great and are just currently out of style! Fashion goes in cycles. But remove them from your closet and put them in storage on the attic or in the cellar if possible. The same thing with seasonal items. Put your scarfs and jackets in storage in summer and your bathing suits and short dresses in winter. So you surprise yourself with a fresh closet once in a while and don’t get bored or overwhelmed with your clothes

How many pieces/garments can you make out of the amount of fabric you buy? And also, can you buy the same fabric you bought previously, multiple times in bulk? Like for example, if I go to a fabric shop, they have fabrics that you cut off how many meters you want of it, and then it runs out eventually once multiple people buy it enough times. How can you keep buying the same fabric to continue making the same piece of clothing for what people order? A little tip for dyeing your clothes is to put them in water first. Wet fabric takes colour more evenly. At least that's what worked for me ☺️

Nah, clothes are supposed to last a while. Your friend is why fast fashion is a problem. Keep your favorite staples for as long as they last. If its a style piece, wear it until you dont want to anymore and give to somewhere that will enjoy it

You’re too real with the clothes. My friends always ask why I have so many clothes. It’s because I got it when it was cheap or as a hand me down so if the opportunity to wear it for a specific occasion comes I won’t have to buy a new one.

You also kinda inspired me making a last minute Eras tour outfit - my initial outfit didn't work out and even the shoes didn't arrive in time, I was so sad and about to give up and just wear something boring, but then made a glittery 1989 fit on the morning of my show. I kept thinking about your red carpet dress in under 24hrs vlog (that was so inspiring) and then I just gaslighted myself into thinking I could finish something in 2 hours 😂(I'm really bad at sewing) And it worked ✨

Haute couture outfits are expensive not because of the material but because of the amount of work, individual sizing, own formulas, customized solutions, fixing every detail by hand and finishing. Of course, when the price goes up because of the work, then high-quality materials are used because their contribution to the whole doesn't change much anymore, valuable it is but also art.
