GMAT 685 | 97th Percentile with a V86 and D83
Do you feel boosting your GMAT score is an impossible task? Picture soaring from a 490 to a 685!
Meet Kartik, who achieved an impressive 195-point improvement, scoring 685 on the GMAT Focus Edition and placing him in the 97th percentile. With focused approach, personalized strategies and determination, Kartik boosted his Verbal score from the 43rd percentile to an impressive 98th percentile and nailed the Data Insights section, jumping to the 96th percentile.
*Verbal Transformation:* Kartik started with a 43rd percentile in Verbal and rocketed to the 98th percentile. How did he do it? By mastering pre-thinking in Critical Reasoning and honing his reading strategies in Reading Comprehension through e-GMAT’s video lessons and the Scholaranium tool, he improved to an impressive verbal score of V86.
*He says, “The video lessons resonated with me and helped me understand and apply concepts effectively. Scholaranium’s comprehensive questions tested my skills at ultimate difficulty, significantly improving my accuracy and confidence.”*
*Conquering Quant:* From a 21st percentile to the 81st, Kartik’s quant journey was nothing short of transformative. Despite having a math background, he initially struggled. But with process skills from the course and focused practice on the cementing quizzes, he made incredible progress.
*Data Insights Mastery:* The DI section was initially daunting for Kartik. But he turned it into his strength, moving from the 56th to the 96th percentile in just 40 days. By learning to read tables and interpret data effectively, Kartik could break down complex information and draw accurate conclusions.
*Strategic Preparation:* Kartik’s success wasn’t just about learning concepts-it was about strategic preparation. He carefully analyzed his mistakes, managed his time well, and kept a positive mindset throughout his journey.

    Sir explain the difference between infinitive and for + ing for expressing reason

    • @egmat
      @egmat Před 3 dny

      Infinitive (to + verb): Used to express purpose or intention Focuses on the aim or goal of an action Often answers the question "Why?" Example: "I went to the store to buy milk." For + -ing: Used to describe the function or use of something Emphasizes the general purpose or typical use Often describes a more general or ongoing reason Example: "This tool is for cutting wood." Key differences: Infinitives tend to express more specific, immediate purposes. "For + -ing" often describes broader, more general uses or functions. Infinitives are more common with action verbs, while "for + -ing" is often used with objects or concepts.

    Very insightful analysis. I would be using it to analyse mine, I have a scored a similar range in my mocks 655 (Q87, V80, DI 80). 2 questions: 1. What's the significance of math vs non math (or) pure vs real context? And how to deal with the gaps? 2. While I work on my improvement strategy, how can I balance (between strengths and improvements) prep for the next 7-10 days given that my focus is primarily on my improvement strategy?
