Not as easy as it sounds to play this song well.. but you do a good job.. and the rhythm just breathes. Style Scott had just an unbelievable feel and sense of timing and character in his playing.. I personally feel that a lot of modern reggae drummers are all sounding the same, same chops, and losing a certain amount of vibes. Would rather hear a drummer with vibes than a clinical chop master. Keep the vids coming.. appreciate you for sharing

Love your style bro, and thanks for the words of wisdom, there was a couple times throughout my drumming career that I wanted to throw in the towel because certain things didn’t come as easy as I wanted them to, I consider myself a pocket drummer and not a chops drummer even though I’d like to be. I’ve learned that roots reggae doesn’t require much except some intros. Any way I’m glad I came across this channel. Keep drumming bro, big up ❤

Check Dance Rock by Bunny Wailer. Style Scott on drums on that one too. Hi hat pattern changes as the song progresses. Song is a one drop but no cross stick. One drop using the snare itself.
