@@woodandmetalandstuffpauldo8561 how did your film come out?
Solid, good looking camera
I love mine, but I love all things Konica, especially the lenses.
Pretty nice. I'm on the hunt for one myself.
Woodglut is a good solution for every woodworker.
I have two Yashica's This one, and the YF... Go to Japan Vintage Camera You Tube, and he will show you how to clean the lens... And checking the shutter...
I just bought a 35 from him this morning. He had a good looking example listed and I believe he does a basic CLA on them. I have to find a hood for it. Next up is to save dor the the YF and the rest of the kit.
Hi all! My xr winder-1 doesn't work. After i push button film winder mechanism don't rotate. Just quiet sound click-click, like motor trying but can't move. What is it? New batteries, with and without camera.
I think these are a little bit underrated
Hi may i ask u some questions😓i brought the same camera but i cant see the dot that show in ur video at 9:22 and the pal x squares...what is the problem?no battery or need to be repair?
Yuwei Koo Hi, some cameras if they are exposed to excessive amounts of UV light over time the range finder dot will fade, if you can find someone to repair ,it is possible to fix, good luck
@@woodandmetalandstuffpauldo8561 Thank you! This is my first film camera so i have a lot of questions, sorry for disturbing you😓is thst yashica minister need battery? If i cant find people to help me repair the problem of the rangefinder dot, the camera still can function right? Or it will cause i cant easily manual focus when i am shooting
Very nice stand
Thank you
This was my first 35mm camera. I bought a used one in about 1973.
Just got the same camera but with black case has the screw in from case to cam on bottom. It is a very nice camera. 35 mm film?
Got mine for free.cant wait to see what it can do.
Yep, 35mm
I just Bartered with a friend from work and I have the Konica Auto S2 refurbished with a working meter my lens is 1.8 = 46mm , I have the camera case strap original box in the original instruction booklet , was made in the year 1965 .. the one in the video he was made a year before .. When buying a digital camera you are ought to settle for a lower great picture if you're shooting with a 35 mm film you're looking and taking time for that awesome photo
Hey mate, how difficult would it be / costly to get them repaired. Got one that doesn’t wind up properly and doesn’t make a sound when shutter is pressed
Lyndon Coulson Mate, if you manage to find someone who does repairs, I reckon it wouldn’t be cheap, my cupboards are full of old cameras with the same problem, good luck, try asking your local film developers 👍
Thanks mate. Guess it’s a $20 wall hanging - I took the risk buying it cheap at a market today so that’s the price I pay. Any recommendations on an entry level camera similar to this?
Lyndon Coulson canonet QL17
Nice vise and anvil, bit crowded but as long as it gets the job done mine is crowed too. you sound Australian.
I would love a video on how you restored your camera. I just bought one of these cameras but its in need of some repair.
Jacqueline Hammett I don’t really do much in the way of “restoration”, just some cleaning, rubbing alcohol for exterior dirt and lens cleaning fluid do all glass and lots of cue tips, I don’t disassemble cameras, you would need to find a professional and ask advice, hope this helps 👍
Looks good for vlogging !
Thank you for showing this. I have the Pixi mini but find it impossible to press the button and unable to move the head at all it does not swivel.
jaylline Holland I found the button to be tight at first but it did loosen up eventually
Where can you buy it?
Official Enry 2 virtual any camera shop that sells Manfroto brand
I got my on EBay
Paul Dove thanks can you do giveaways?
No mate sorry, any reviews I do are payed for by myself, I have zero sponsorship to pay for equipment
Can you share a link for this small Sidekio? What is this? iPhone mount?
tikkypoland the iPhone mount was for a iPhone 4, very old now, found it on eBay
ok, thank you. I have bought version Smart Mini with built in phone clamp
Wonder if it can handle a 16mm lens together with a 760D house.
Onur Tumer easy
Cool, thanks for the info. Appreciate it. I just have to figure out if it's worth over the gorillapod. I sometimes get the urge to take some night photoes of the sky, might tip over with the pixi mini setup though.
Great review. Thanks
Do you think if i make pallet hampers and sell them people would actually buy them? I would stain them a rustic style
jonathna11 possibly, if you enjoy lots of sanding, lol
great review, going to buy this little one 👍
This guy sounds like one of the people on the big lez show
Abov Emerge 😜
Thanks for the review. I'm ordering one tonight!
Hi, I also have a Konica camera, but mine is Konica S. What film did you use to take the photos?
Does it also power a camera or you still need 4xLR44?
Eugene Vlogs it only powers the winder , you still need LR44's
I love it, it's great handheld I take it everywhere with me
Do you think the Pixi holds a Canon 80D with a 18-135 lens?
Eduardo Deffanti my camera and lens is almost 2kgs
Paul Enjoyed your review of this beautiful Yashica. I picked one up today (the f1.9 lens) from a charity shop in Retford, Notts for £12! I sure am looking forward to seeing the results. All the best David, England
Bargen!, enjoy
lucky fucky then 4 you
Thanks Paul for the decent 'real-world use' review!
Al Power no worries, and after a few years of use the tilt mechanism is still holding strong
me wants! Thanks for the review
No nonsence review , i have this camera and i luv it. TFS
Has anyone else realized that this video is 4:20
Owen Whidden ???
Paul Dove I'm pretty sure it's an American joke
Can this Manfrotto Pixi Mini Tripod be used as a Steadicam in a way?
Aaron, not really , its pretty light weight, so theres no counter balance
Technically no, because it isn't weighted at the bottom. But holding it in the hand grip mode with the camera on top may give you _steadier_ shots.
Ok lads, cheers
found the same design one ,ony $9 on amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B01LMUZRPO
if you buy it , let me know if its any good, my son has stolen mine :(
FINALLY bought this.insteada buying those cheaply made gorrillas..really happy with this lil guy!
Those cheaply made gorillas, you mean not the originals right?? I'm between the Pixi and those fake gorillas.... Do you think the Pixi holds a Canon 80D with a 18-135 lens?
***** yes those cheap 20$ amazon rip offs..
Eduardo Deffanti the manfrotto i think could hold it..with a long lense on it im nkt sure i dont own one so i cant speak on that.but the cam itself yes id say ur good to go.👍👍
Thank you Paul for taking the time to do this real review! Cheers!
I have an auto s but when I try to open it up it won't budge and I'm afraid it will break
Can you feel the spring tension in the latch, if not, you may have to get a pro to take a look
0:27 "It feels... strong..." *flick flick* This is the kind of quality testing I would do.
I think to be honest this kind of test wouldn't reflect real usage but i think if you were to use it for vlogging with a DSLR maybe these kind of forces would occur , I've had the tripod now for over 2 years and it is yet to fail.
0:49 does it also hold a lot of black?
i don't know if you can answer this for me, does this camera do night shot like my old video camera.
It doesn't have a "night vision" setting but it does have a night shot setting for stills, it's best to use a tripod while on that setting
Nice review Paul ! Cheers!
+Sami Abuauad Cheers Mate
I am thinking about buying one to do streetphotography. I have always used digital cameras and this is like and "iniciation camera". can anyone give me some advice on this? thx! :)
+Ân Gelo They are a great street camera but don't trust the in'built light meter, they are not very reliable, you can get a light meter app on your phone that will work better , best thing is they don't need a battery, also check the lens for fungus, if there is only a couple of spots you probably won't notice it on the prints, also if the rangefinder indicator is dull, it makes it hard to focus correctly, you can have it re done , hope this helps, shoot me more questions if you want, Cheers.
Many thanks Paul.
nice review i just bought one, but what happened to your thumb!?!?!?!?!?!?
+WangTheLegend I have a autoimmune disease called Psoriasis , hears the link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psoriasis, it affects the nails as well as skin.
sorry to hear that and i hope its not to serious. 😕
Looks good ,nice one
+sdmcustom woodworking Cheers mate
cool stand!
+tim sway Thank you
hey what if u put some of those grippy drawer liner things under it to level it out..?think thatll work??:)
+Joe basementwoodworking I've just put a 2mm wood shim with felt and double sided tape under the front and it's done the trick, Cheers for the suggestion.
good stuff glad u fixed it . its a nice stand.man,, i hate when ur at the end and that one tiny lil thing messes it up..AHHHHHHH!!!!!@#%$#%$ lol you know what i mean? ;)
