I'm an altaholic with 95% of my characters still running SoA 😂 Great review of the article, keep up the good content!!

I started to play Lotro 1 year ago & now have 4 different characters between L51 to 60 on my main account. I had never played any online games before so came to it completely ignorant and had to do a lot of upskilling fast which, thanks to channels like this I was able to do. (Thankyou Zollin} If I didn't access the online guides, videos and chats I would have struggled to learn but I never found it too big or unwieldy. In fact, I love the immersive, depth and breadth of the Lotro world, that's exactly what I find so attractive about it. I chose to play Lotro because I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan and learning I could follow in the footsteps of the Fellowship is why I'm here. Your comments on this article reflect my own thoughts, well said.

Being a newer player to Lotro but having a good amount of experience with other MMOs, I really dont think the early game is "too big." I do feel like the way in which you traverse around these zones via the fast travel system is a bit disjointed. But this is more of an issue once you're in the 30s-40s and so on. Having more areas to explore and the freedom to explore them, is truer to the nature of the MMO genre. Overall, the 1-25 questing through the areas surrounding Bree is some of the best questing and zone design I have ever seen in an MMO. It truly could be a game on its own. So, I don't necessarily agree with the article as a whole. Having said that, I love Massively OP and have much respect for their journalists.

Nope, love the early game. Changing it would damage the game. If people want mindless quick leveling, go play WoW.
