great pen, ink, paper combo
I also love my frosted coconut sport! I haven't used it in a while.
@@cerealnana i think the only thing I am hesitant about is that you can see all the ink inside the cap. I don‘t particularly like that.
I also have a Kaweco Sport (Frosted Lime), and what I love about it is the sound it makes when you cap/uncap and post/unpost it 😂
Omg I feel the same way. The plastic has such a nice sound!
Woohoo! Love that you’re using my PIPs acronym 🥰 I’m a person who likes to shorten all manner of words and find it especially useful when taking notes. And that blue is so gorgeous! Also, thank you for your kind words. I love doing this so much! Btw, I agree with you on doing CZcams, everyone’s perspective is so diff it makes each one unique and a pleasure to watch. Love being part of this pen hobby, especially here on the Tube.
Thank you for your words! I just love that PIP acronym.
I caught the fountain pen bug and now have four. I have yet to ink three pens because I don’t know how long I can leave ink in the pen without using it?
@@Alianderfarm so cool! Which ones did you get? I wouldn‘t worry about that as long as you are not leaving them for a year without writing or with permanent ink for a few months. It definetly depends on how good the cap is ceiling. But in my experience you can get any pen clean again with enough flushing and soaking. Even of it is crusty (though I certainly do not recommend that 😉). When I was in school I didn‘t flush my pen (washable blue ink) for years. I didn‘t know you should. I just popped in a new cartridge when the other one was emty or dried up.
Wow that Pelikan m805 is beautiful 💙
It is! I found it at the Munich Penshow
I very much vibe with the thought of having the same color ink in my planners and journals, even if I‘m using more than one at a time, which I always do. So a few years ago I started choosing one color per week and setting up my books in that respective colorway. I have to add that most of my pens are inked all the time, so I actually have an abundance of combinations to choose from… that‘s why I change weekly, not monthly. And this way I also make sure that all of my pens get used throughout the year. I love flipping back through my daily planner (currently an A5 Hobonichi notebook - 2 pages per day) and seeing the different setups of the weeks, it just brings me so much joy. 😊 Thank you for sharing, your Pelikans are gorgeous ! ❤
Thank you for sharing your system. It‘s so good that you found a way you really like and enjoy. ☺️
I think the theme might be blue?
No. Blue? How in the world could I ever have a blue theme? 😂
I find it so interesting that everyone has their own method to inked pens. Mine is currently to ink pens for a season. So however many pens for 3 months and at the half way point if I feel a combination isn't my favorite I swap them for a different ink and maybe a different pen.
That is also so interesting to me. Ok that’s also really really cool. Thank you for sharing!
I, too, exist in my happiest place when surrounded by pens full of blue ink. 😂💙🩵🥰
It‘s just such a good color. I love that I have this blue Palette right now.
I have that same finger bump/callus. If I use a pen like that I use a silicone finger cot.
Interesting. In which way does it help? Do you think the callus comes from too much pressure?
I'd love to see your entire fountain pen collection at some point 👀
I noted that 😉. This video is definitely on my mind. But sometimes I need more time to process the idea.
@@Blue_Rosemarie Of course, take your time and do it your way :D
Lovely pen and review. I think Tsukikusa means Moon Grass in Japanese. If os that’s such a beautiful name for a beautiful pen.
Thank you! That would be a really lovely name.
Great video discussing your everyday use of your Lamy 2000. Pilot does make a matte black Vanishing Point, so that may be something you would enjoy. Just to let you know, I own multiple Pilots (Custom Heritage models, Prera, Elite 95S, Capless Steel nib), they do not play well with European inks that have average to slightly drier flow (Pelikan, Waterman, Lamy, etc), so if you get them, you may find them less tolerant of different ink viscosities than your Lamy 2000. If you own a big variety of inks with various viscosities, then a fine or extra fine nib Lamy 2000 is a better choice than a Pilot. I own mostly Japanese inks, which are much more lubricated, so Pilots, Sailors, and a fine nib Lamy Safari comprise my fleet of pens.
Yes the Pilot Vanishing Point in matt black is definitely something that fits me. I have one and I love it. Very interesting. Thank you.
Love that Platinum!
I used to have that ink in my Prefounte with a preppy blue feed and homeground stub; but changed to 1864 b/b (bit of a Diamine fanboy) then they cost cut us to this bog paper... may as well use Parker Blk. smh🙄
I also tried the Diamine 1864 Blue/Black. But somehow I prefer the regular one. At least for now.
hello! what is the name of the pen that you use in swatching?
It is the Sailor Hocoro with a Fude nib.
It's crazy how much the paper can change the way the ink looks
100%
Has anyone at your work recognized your Lamy 2000? Even though it's understated, it's a very distinct design. And with Lamy being a German brand of course, it wouldn't suprise me if someone recognized it.
dont give fk about reconize its perfect pen for years better then this expensive fkin brands from 50k usd and so on got punk a s s
Right in the beginning my college recognized that I‘m using my own pen. Bit that‘s it. Nobody actually said that they recognized the model.
I Really enjoy your PIP Review videos and I Have started to copy your method of doing these. Keep them coming Rosemarie. Thanks from England.
@@chrismorley3074 thank you! I like to make them very much. In my mind I can not review the pen without the ink or paper. It is always the combination that makes the experience unique.
The silver trim is rhodium plated finish, more resistant to than golden plating. Nice pen! BTW, the click sound of this resin is to me the best of this pen!
Thank you for explaining. Interesting, well it shows that we all have a very unique perspective and taste in this hobby.
I also love that blue!
Lovely ink colour! Kinda looked like cranberry on my phone. Yay for stickers!
There are more stickers coming… 😅I also fixed my printer settings and now am able to print sticks on my own again. That feels so good. The ink is really interesting. I‘m still wondering what pen to put it in.
I stumbled on your videos after watching your Dutch Pen haul and I just have to say I love how chill your videos/you are 😁
Thank you so so much! ☺️
That pen is gorgeous! I love it ❤
Curious how a Platinum F nib would look like!
Me as well! But I think it just would be too fine for my taste.
Love the color, it keeps you guessing!
I definetly want to ink up a pen soon with this ink to explore it.
I saw a post on Instagram that said "Tsuki Kusa" means "Asiatic dayflower."
Thank you!
Childish pleasures are so important! Sometimes I get myself a little lego set and always it's so much fun to build them and put them on my bookshelf 😊
I think you are right. I also just recently got a new lego set. They are just great.
@@Blue_Rosemarie Ooh, which one did you get?
@@peterjanssen506 i got the bonsai tree. I still need to finish the leaves. Before I got the flower bouquet that is in the hallway now. Which ones do you get?
@@Blue_Rosemarie The bonsai looks so good! I have the succulents set and the lady liberty brickheadz 😄 I want to get another set sometime soon, but I don't know yet which one...
Id been wondering what those tiny stickers from sailor were for! 😂
they are so funny... actually they were quite handy. Because the name of the ink wasn't written on the bottle itself, I put it on there. I normally directly get rid of all the box, because I store my ink in a drawer anyways.
@@Blue_Rosemarie ohh good point
I'm always saying that my city is desperate for a great stationery/pen store. But I'm actually lucky we don't have one because my impulse control can't handle having a store at my fingertips! Fun haul , thanks for sharing!
well... it is dangerous. My taste has evolved so much though, that for most things on my wishlist I'm not able to buy them in a local store. But still, I'm in a very fortunate situation here and YES it is dangerous...
Could you please send me the Stationary Station link for this pen? I would like to purchase it as well 😉
Yes of course. www.stationerystation.co.jp/category/PLATINUM/
😅 I also do weird stuff when ink sampling. I have towels that I made from terry cloth insisted of kitchen towels it absorbs a bit more ( in my mind) also ihave 2 glasses with water and one is for the initial clean and the other is to not risk any ink contamination. I've been wanting to try Montblanc toffee brown!! It's so gorgeous.
I should do the two water cups. Honestly I‘m just too lazy though😅
My impression is that the Japanese pen users equate quality with lightness. So Japanese pen makers make light usually non-metallic pens. I like how the 3776 pens writes and enjoy using it.😊
Very interesting. In the western world it much seems like the other way around. I often see that people equate heaviness with quality. But it makes absolute sense also the other way around. Thank you for that comment.
Montblanc Toffee Brown 😍
Great collection for June! I have a few „everyday“ or always inked, too. How on earth are your nibs from Sailor PG in MF and Leonardo M so similar? My MF writes like a EF-F and the Leonardo like a M-B 😄 (I don’t complain- I like both a loooot)
Thank you. I think there is quite a difference in line width. But because of the light KWZ ink in the M Leonardo and the dark blue in my Sailor H-MF they seem quite similar. I‘m always so surprised seeing nibsizes next to each other. There is just no consistency at all. Even my two Fine TWSBI F nibs are so different. The Diamond 580 one is much much finer than the Eco.
@@Blue_Rosemarie totally!! No consistency! My Twsbi Diamond M is like a broad, the F on another diamond like a EF on Eco. To be honest my few Lamy steel nibs are more consistent 😅
Great video! I normally have 3 pens inked up and always rotate them. Takes me about 2 months to go through one of them, except my TWSBI 580 if fully inked. The reservoir is huge.
Thank you! I always wondered how other people could go through so much ink all the time. I think it has a lot to do with nib size and if people just rinse the pen out without writing it dry.
I also just ink up as I go. Until last night.. I randomly decided to ink up 19 pens 😅
Haha OMG 19?! That's so much! 😅I think I always ink up a pen just when I need some new experience. May I ask why you inked up so many at once?
Daaaang!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@Blue_Rosemarie hahah I don’t know what possessed me to. I was sad. And I was getting frustrated that I kept trying to write my existing ones dry so that I could move on to new pens. Then I just randomly decided why not try something completely different and see how I’d feel if I used my pens like I used to use a 10 or 15 pack of different color gel pens
@StationeryDumpling then you probably have a really nice color Palette to choose from now.
Oh wow! That is beautiful! I just have the burgundy one. I would love love live to own the celluloid tortoise, but it is way out of my price range!
I actually have no idea at all, how expensive that pen is.
Thank you for aligning the squares of your mat with the camera view. 😅
Haha you're welcome!
Congratulations, that is a clean and beautiful pen. Enjoy it! 😄 I've never used a 3776 before, but I'd like to try one sometime. I love the look of those angular and pointy platinum nibs. I get what you mean by a pen not fitting the rest of the collection, like one pen feels out of place. I get this nagging feeling too, particularly with the color of a pen. However, now I just get the individual pens I like and all those pens together make up my collection, regardless of how they look together because I like them individually.
thank you! I originally didn't like the look of the nib. But on this model I do somehow.
Gorgeous pen. I’m in the middle of a no-buy (after an extravagant May) but it’s a tempting one.
I'll be swatching the inks you gave me today! At least the ones I was able to bring home in my carry-on. Cyan is holding my others for me.
I hope you will like some of them. I packed you kind of a wild mix 😉. I don‘t have time today for swatching, but I want to swatch the inks from the Dutch Penshow also soon.
