My god tony is so young
😮 😮 😮 😮
This kept repeating and I was fine with it.
Holy last chord!
Pretty good selection!
Rick looks like he’s getting his 7th grade class photo taken in the first picture lmao
The only time Stephen could title a short “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG EVER MADE?!?!?!” and actually be right on the money
A 98.4 in performance! Up until Midtown, the highest stat ever scored by a quartet!
Most of the basses nowadays are actually Baritones
I WSNNA HEAR THE WHOLE SONG!!!!😢
They just. Keep. Getting. Better!!! Also, Love Like This was ballad of the contest. No further questions 😅
Great !
Mr Reynolds forgive me but I'm new to this, are you i a quartet or were you?
Yes! I am in Gateway and my dad was in Riptide!
@@thestephenreynolds how awesome can one family be?
I used to be in a choir and it's the tight harmonies and long sustained notes that get me every time.
.... is evidently on another video.
Love this!❤
I would thing give me 4 should be. In the top 5
Stephen Reynolds, cool video it was really good
Jumping' Java Medley - Gimme Four
Thank you for keeping this alive. I wish immortal beloveds could hear what music majors can do.
Max Q 4th? Tough....🤔
Well that was a fun Saturday night😅😂
I enjoyed it but to say 'funniest song of all time'? Not even close. A truly funny song is Athiest got no song by Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon band
They are so such a stronger group now. Nice to see vocal development.
anything with Tim Waurick puts a massive smile on my face.
I guess they have to be screaming tags with notes held for 30 minutes in order to be considered great. Try listening to Bluegrass Student Union's A Foggy Day In London Town tag if you want to hear what barbershop is really all about.
those overtones 0:20 holy shit
OMG A LOSING BATTLE IS RAGING
OMAYGOT A LOSING BATTLE IS RAGING
OC Times, Power Play and Four Voices, and for comedy, Metropolis.
Ringmasters "Bells of Notre Dame" is the greatest piece of acapella music in history. 4 is an injustice to them.
There seems to be a lot of gripe about my placement of ringmasters. I love all of those guys and they are some of the most talented individuals in our hobby. Now, my main reason for their placement was that Bells of Notre Dame (it is certainly one of the greatest performances), was done at an AIC show in Nashville, not on the competition stage. My rankings only take into account performances on the International Stage. Thus, quartets like Main Street had better performances on the international stage in their competing years. I in no way was trying to discount any group, especially Ringmasters, who has elevated our hobby so much through the years.
This whole chart is out of control
I feel like Jim Clark carries this quartet so hard in presentation. You can tell how much more effort he puts into his acting and facial expressions at any given point. Definitely one of the greatest leads ever in this regard
That sheet music was NOT it lol
My favorite slide is with Storm Front's anything goes
This guy's obviously never heard of barbershop, so let me help and give the real answer. Honorable mentions: Main street & Old School 5th: Signature 4th: After hours 3rd: Instant classic 2nd: Newfangled Four 1st: Ringmasters Agreed? Agreed!
Yes I know point scores and ammount of medals exist, but looking at barbershop as a growing concept says that this order is better. Signature showed us barbershop doesn't have to be silly or old, but can rather be anything. After hours changed the game on how harmonies are viewed. Instant classic paved the way for the new standard of barbershop as an art form. Newfangled Four, while only winning their first medal a few days ago (congrats btw), set the standard on how beautifully elaborate comedic barbershop can be and, atleast in my belief, opened the door of barbershop to new eyes and has grown the genre quite amazingly. And though its not guaranteed, Ringmasters possibles sold their souls in exchange for not only talent and beautiful harmonies, but have also found some way to make barbershop enjoyable with long and impressive melodies that have changed the way we view current nationals songs. Personally I believe a mix of the Ringmasters & the Newfangled Four are what have truly shaped barbershop over the last decade. Groups like Main street & Oldschool are great amd all, but their approach to barbershop has slowly died with age. Barbershop is a living, breathing, heart-racing genre that grows every single day, and it wouldn't have nearly the following it has today if these groups hadn't shown us what it means to step outside of the norm.
No OC times?

This is what you call the "Tour de Force!" - Thanks, guys! Incidentally, I am a note-to-color musician and have spent the last 30 years creating a sort of definitive "Theory of Pitch Psychology" concerning each of the 12 keys. As musicians yourself, do check it out! - Your, _Acoustic Rabbit Hole_
did you hear the NF4 slide at the end of stonehenge last year? one of the most ridiculously crisp lands i've ever heard on any note... been playing and singing jazz for 11 years
Gotta have GHG first
Tim Waurick: _Acceptable_
My dad was a Barbershoper from the 50-60 and 70s and so having said that…….I cried when I heard this Tag! ❤😢❤😢❤😢
Two words.....David Harrington!!!! GOAT!

i was excited to see the newfangled four right at the beginning!! they've become my favorite quartet over the past few weeks!! love them lots, they're great!
