2001 SRN gets tested for the first time!

We Got This 2001-SRN during SirenCon this year because they didn't want it so they sold it. We bought this guy and now we finally got it hooked up to a car battery (1 of 4) to be able to be tested with the monthly test Wednesday!
Frankenmuth's Backup Siren Fails to Go Off

This test happened on the 4th of October 2023 at 7:00pm They were using this siren since the 3T22 that was on top of the fire station was under maintenance but apparently this one didn't go off or was broken. If you know what siren model this is please leave a comment below so I know

This siren in Frankenmuth goes off on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm. The other siren in town was under maintenance and they had a temporary siren for the time being.

It’s usually on the first Saturday of June in rhinelander WI, it doesn’t cost anything but you can donate to support (they suggest $10) also you have to account for gas and a place to stay which you can stay at a campsite there but it cost money also it goes from like 10 am to 6pm

You don’t have to but 100% you can if it’s small enough it’s fine if it’s a big siren you have to register it which I don’t know if it cost money to but I’m bringing my 2001-SRN for 2025 with one other special project hopefully

The 1000T is 4/5 port and the 1003 is 5/6 The Elektror is a tiefton siren, so that’s why it’s 3 port over all, very nice!!

Actually just recently they added 3 2001-130’s to the town and no longer have there 2T22
Where is it located?
It’s by the water treatment plant in Frankenmuth
This siren is at their city water facilty, they also have an FS 2T22 at their fire station.
The 2T22 is currently under maintenance since June still so it hopefully will be put back up soon
@@MichiganWeatherAndSirens oh wow, I didn't know that. Quite honestly I'm surprised that they didn't replace it if it was going to be down for that long. Those are old sirens.
It’s a 3t22. And it is still gone. They have installed 3 2001 sirens across town, so I don’t think it is coming back. I’m surprised the model 5 is still there.
If they plan to get rid of the model five I’m taking that bad boi

Probably because you thought the model 2 has a model 5/7 body, so thats why you call it a model 2.
In the main video I actually put model 5 so I don’t know how that happened to be honest (well it was probably ADHD that made me forget lol)

I always wondered how can you tell if its a Model 5 or 7 by just looking at it? These sirens are very common and look the same, we have one at our fire station. I always thought it was a model 5 but I could be wrong.
