Arcade-y drive and shoot game for the Saturn. Brilliant real actor FMVs that I can't understand because it is dubbed in Japanese. One day I'll get hold of an English copy. Also included is a cool ad for Crystal Dynamics. Played on original Saturn via OSSC 5x mode.

Arcade version is far better than the Saturn one which is surprising really considering how much older it is. Sprites look better than the 3d attempt here. Also there seems to be missing levels as well off the arcade. They've also switched the order of levels around it seems
i remember being fascinated with the swinging sonic hanging from the rear view, that that was pretty cool to see back then
I did with the original game in 1990 called rad mobil in the arcade - sonic was not even out then hence the curiosity with the swinging mascot.

Model 3 is much better than Naomi for some reason. Maybe not technically but from an artistic standpoint the games just look better.
Look and PLAY better than Naomi, imo
SR2 is not a great example of Naomi tech in action. It was a project that got bounced around Sega from team to team, ended up being a PC port moved over to Dreamcast using the Windows CE frame work (so very slow running) and finally having Smilebit just sticky tape the whole thing together just to get it out of the way. Naomi when done right was great but SR2 shows how NOT to do a port.
You should be able to disable the dangling sonic in the options it's distracting.

How are there so few polygons on the screen at any given time? You look at this vs something like Sega Rally and it's like 2 different systems.
It's not polygons.
This is a port of one Sega’s old ‘super scaler’ arcade games from the 80’s called Rad Mobile, in line with Afterburner, Outrun, Space Harrier etc. These created a 3D effect by stacking and scaling sprites.
Yeah, what he said. You should look into it, it's pretty fascinating. There are a few pretty impressive sega cd games that used a similar method. A lot of people think it was simply a cd add on for the genesis, but that's not that case. If they focused on its strengths like sprite scaling and rotation instead of that horrible fmv garbage, it would have been very different.
@@Peter10Brinke The opponent/NPC cars are polygonal though, which may be what OP was calling out. Sprite-scaling levels with 3D elements definitely isn't something you see very often, even on Saturn.

You should search for a ps1 emulator on pc. There are lots of tutorials on YT in case you have some difficulties. Hope you find your way.

Bad controls, i prefer steering wheel on left stick, unfortunately you can't change controls.
Go to options the general then assign steering wheel to the left stick. Just incase you haven’t found it yet 😊

If they put some effort into this game it could have been great. Horrible control, poor track design, and repetitive voice samples are awful. If they made this a 3d "bump & jump" it would have been cool.

I always played this game as a kid on DOS when it was called Biohazard but I was so young I didnt know how to read yet so I had no clue what it was called. i also had no idea what I could do or what the controls were so I kind of drove around trying to pick up passengers and shooting out at other cars randomly until I either ran out of ammo or died
