My boyfriend comes from a very religious Pakistani family, usually he comes over to my house because his mom is very strict about having girls over at his house but he managed to convince her. If only my best friend could see this. I was a very narcissistic emotionally abusive person. I was draining in all my ways. I took you for granted. All because of how you distanced yourself. You kept secrets. You did questionable things. You lied when I always accepted your truth even if it was bad. The way things ended I questioned if we were ever really friends at all. I seen the end before it came. I kept telling you the people around you would lead to the demise of our friendship. I never got my closure.

You want to treat me like you’re not my friend and not be there for me when I need a friend as much as I was there for you, then you aren’t my friend and I won’t be there for you when you decide you want to come back and use me after you’ve been discarded by your boyfriend or for whatever reason.

I fear it because people change, and sometimes for the worse. Once you enter that contractual agreement things get muddy.( statistics clearly show this) Its easy to walk away in a relationship not so much in a marriage. Something has to push you past that intrinsic voice inside telling you to not do it, or your relationships will never evolve.

I would also recommend telling your close friends and the ppl you date about your social anxiety and how it will show up. Example if you have trouble with eye contact or have trouble ordering at a restaurant. It eliminates the shame. Another thing that helped me was asking ppl to just not be vague and ambiguous about the things they said to me and actually asking ppl to rephrase or clarify what they mean/want from me. Can you rephrase that because I don't quite understand what you mean versus what do you mean? It helps so much bc now my brain isn't working super hard on trying to read between the lines. The more you know 🌈

My best friend literally told me he would only spend time with her and would practically never have time for me.

I loved my bsf too much just like my own sibling, did everything for him and was always there for him. We used to update each other with everything and we were inseparable then this girl came who is not at all good for him and that's evident but he is not ready to listen to me. I tried everything to save him but pointless. I think it's fine when they get into a relationship and disappear. Whatever, it's their life and I respect the choices their making. What I don't appreciate is when they lose the relationship and become alone and suddenly act like we're close friends again blowing up my phone and trying to lean on my shoulder after a long time of like...never ever talking. lol nah, we grew apart and I moved on. bye.
