Good video, always nice to see a creative, inexpensive mod like this. I have a '23 V7 Special Edition, and from what I've seen on YT, even the Arrow mufflers are too quiet. So I had the dealer install a set of Agostini full-length reverse cone mufflers with the dB killers removed, and they sound fantastic. 'Course they weren't cheap, but now the bike sounds like a Guzzi should. The good thing about the Ago mufflers is they don't have cats in them, like several other aftermarket mufflers do (i.e. Mistral). The way the OEM mufflers have those tiny exhaust tips is ridiculous, but I imagine we have the Euro5 and previous regulations to thank for that.
Is it only for aluminium rim? Will it work on steel rims?
V6 aluminum bmw
Thanks. Very interesting. At what stage do you actually install the valve stem? Do you have a link for the valve stem?
Thanx and glad you liked the video. I added the new stems before adding the sealant. The valve stems came from my local AUTOZONE parts store. Slime Hi Performance TR416 Tire Valve Stem. Here is the link : www.autozone.com/tire-repair-and-tire-wheel/tire-valve-stem/p/slime-hi-performance-tr416-tire-valve-stem/582043_0_0
Cool👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
At that speed, you could do those wide turns one handed while looking behind you... Riding for 20+ years.. there is no reason to exaggerate the lean like that. Low or High Speed.
By correcting her body position while cornering she is actually reducing the lean angle of the motorcycle. More lean = more risk. By getting her upper body off the side of the bike more and leaning into the inside the bike will remain more upright and the suspension will work better. By rotating your shoulders more the turn will be smother and you are less likely to run wide. Remember this is beginning level coaching for new riders, and i am building confidence in cornering by teaching correct body position, proper aiming and head turns , etc etc…. the speed of the practice session ie. 15-20mph in 2nd gear allows the student to focus on correct technique at an easily manageable speed. once they have good technique then the cornering speeds increase. I wish you continued safe riding.
They do none of this in the uk more advanced
She is very good and good display of differt obstacles
Glad you liked the video. She is a very dedicated rider, and she practices often. I wish you continued safe riding.
hi. i bought one of those fairings for my v7 II special and thanks to your very good video i now know how to mount it properly. thanks and greetings from vienna / austria.
Great to hear! so glad you were able to duplicate my efforts and that the video was helpful. I wish you continued safe riding.
Just did this mod with the db killers, works great!
Awesome! Glad you managed to do the same thing to your pipes and that you are happy with the sound, I wish you continued safe riding.
What are you using for a center stand?
No center stand! I use a Harbor Freight Tools motorcycle lift. I wish you continued safe riding.
Ha, what a dumb video
Love it. This reminds me how it felt when i drove my Bandit for the first time
Glad you enjoyed it! They are great motorcycles! I wish you continued safe riding.
Sorry but for me the $850 for the Agostini's was worth it for the sound alone. They also eliminate the cats and the back pressure that comes from that.
Glad that you love your custom exhaust - the videos I made are for those of us that don’t have the $850 that those pipes cost but want to create a similar sound for cheap. No disrespect to those that spend the money and buy those pipes …. if my attempt had failed I would have bought a set myself! I wish you continued safe riding.
What a terrible video
sorry you didn’t like it - the rear stand is super easy to assemble and is still working well. I wish you continued safe riding.
How you remove the sealant come spoke retightening time? Serious question......it will be very difficult I imagine.
when you tighten spokes you don’t usually have to remove the tire ! but if you have a broken spoke that needs replacement then yes you would need to use a sharp blade and cut a tiny piece of the sealant out to access the head of the spoke. Then add a blob of sealant after the spoke repair. I wish you continued safe riding.
Really interesting video, completely different take on all the other diy tubeless conversions I've seen and you're the first person I've ever seen to have looked into the different grades of 3m sealant and the best one for this purpose. Seeing as it's been over a year now, how's the tubeless conversion holding up?
Glad you liked it! Both rims and tires are still holding air perfectly - no issues at all. I figure measure twice / cut once .. do it right the first time and don't cheap out on materials or you'll regret it. This mod works. I wish you continued safe riding!
@@thebritonabike Thanks for the reply! That's great, so glad to hear it. Have to admit it, your conversation really reminds me of the bartubeless conversion/wheels. 👍
One year later and no follow up on this mod.? Did you need to remap the ecu?
Still sounding great and running great. No remap required. In my experience opening up the end of a pipe and allowing more air out rarely requires a remap - but your experiences may differ. I wish you continued safe riding!
@@thebritonabike perfect that’s what I was looking for. Thank you.

counter steering works at all speed range please don't teach wrong things to students. I can show you it works even on a bicycle at less than 1 mph let go motorcycle at 5 mph , counter steering works from 1 mph
Are you a professional motorcycle instructor ? If you were you wouldn't have written this comment. Yes I am well aware that you can counter steer a bike at under 15mph - but for newbie riders (like those I was teaching) they learn the technique better at speeds at or above 15mph. Counter Balance and control are the most important for low speed turning. I suggest you read this book by Lee Parks. 'TOTAL CONTROL street riding techniques' and be a bit better informed. I wish you continued safe riding. www.amazon.com/Total-Control-Performance-Street-Techniques/dp/0760343446/

Super video! Really helpful, really taught me a lot about body positioning, as before I thought my problem was not going fast enough into corner, I'll work on my body positioning at lower speeds and see how that works for me
Thank you ! This video I made goes into more detail ! Enjoy and I wish you continued safe riding ! czcams.com/video/q5fuKX8Mg1I/video.html

@@thebritonabike Yeah man my best friend races 400's and we went out one day and i followed him around a roundabout a couple douzen times, increasing speed to force me to lean further, when I got there my whole world changed. The only way I can put it is like having a extra wheel, you feel pretty sturdy! U have had a few spills since but I get better at confidence building each time. :_)
@@Livingreciever It Absolutely is the best feeling when you've finally got the technique down and get off the side of the bike enough - and lean enough to drag a knee ! Just remember it's really not necessary for street riding - save it for the race track where it is supposed to be used ! I wish you continued safe riding !
Did you tape off and cut out the 3M for the valve stems and reapply around them, or did you have the valve stems already seated while applying the 3M?
The valve stems were already installed - then I added sealant around the stem seal for a double seal. I wish you continued safe riding.
hi if you want to chnge the air valve how will you because it compltely molded with sealent if chnage the valve there will be a air leakage ?
If I ever have to remove the stem I would need to cut around the 3M sealant. This would not affect the sealant around the spoke heads. I have NEVER had to replace an actual stem - just the internal shradder valve. But my decision to add a little extra 3M sealant around the valve stem seal was just for an added seal and layer of protection against leaks. So far so good and no leaks - in a year + of riding on them. I wish you continued safe riding.
Nice video👍 One question What is your height so i can compare it to the size of the bike?
I am 5' 10" tall or 178 cm - I wish you continued safe riding !
Bandit 1200 more fun 120 hp with a slip on and 50 pounds lighter( more whheilie🤪)
Indeed yes lighter will = more power and torque. Have fun on your bike I wish you continued safe riding !
Interesting technique, I can see how shifting weight back would help, but not sure how lowering towards the tank would.... Unless it's to help you move further back? Will give it a go!
This is an intermediate and advanced braking technique and it is designed to better stabilize the suspension and allow the brakes to operate with 100% efficiently. This video goes into the details more around the 9min 20 sec mark - czcams.com/video/bMcKZyLQT5M/video.htmlsi=ByQ51J4R6fRSj4F0 - czcams.com/video/bMcKZyLQT5M/video.htmlsi=ByQ51J4R6fRSj4F0 - Stay safe and continued safe riding to you !
Ouch! That sounds terrible. You get what you pay for. 😛
Well I guess it's a matter of opinion ! With the small aftermarket baffle / decibel reducer in place I am now very happy with the exhaust note and receive lots of compliments on the bikes sound. Stay safe and continued safe riding to you !
Thanks alot for the work you're doing. Greetings from Kampala-Uganda
My pleasure! Stay safe and continued safe riding to you !
Great bike. I run the full Toce exhaust as well but still burns the fairings. Considering just creating a hole in that spot.
Not a bad idea - whatever you need to do to NOT get burned ! Stay safe and continued safe riding to you !
I've had to replace damaged spokes several times. This isnt a good idea! Better with properly deigned rims with spokes on outer part of rim. I agree though tubes are yesterday's solution. All bikes should be tubeless by law now!
If you are finding that you need to do regular spoke adjustment then maybe this isn't for you - but you should be able to still make adjustments without the sealant being affected. You don't take of the tire for every spoke adjustment do you ? Stay safe and continued safe riding to you !
I love your videos, sadly it seems that here the white bslance wasn't set to shadows. Moto reflections interesting. BR from Poland!
Interesting! My GoPros have limited adjustability in camera - so all of that color timing needs to be done in post production which takes a HUGE amount of time ! But I will continue to try to film in the highest quality I can. Stay safe and continued safe riding to you !
Nice ride....that track must have saved a bundle on paiting some lines 😂...hard to use the full track when your not sure where it starts/ends.
You got that right! It's a great 1 mile race track designed by Keith Code - It's supposed to emulate the typical Southern California Canyon roads.(just without the oncoming traffic) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Code I wish you continued safe riding !
@thebritonabike I'm in Phoenix metro area and have a '23 K1600GT. The bike does shockingly well, but I start scrape pegs around 48 degrees lean. I have done all the rides courses out here...next stop track days. This track is on the list! Thanks for video and info...keep the shinny side up brother.
@@ryanfoley2198 They are amazing machines! Best advice I can give you is for YOU to get off of the side of the bike more as you corner - that will reduce the necessary lean angle required, keeping the bike more upright and reduce the peg scraping. More lean = More risk. You'll actually carry more speed through the corners and have faster lap times. We are limited in lean angle simply by the size and design of these huge sport touring bikes - it is what it is .. because it is ! For extreme lean angles at the track I use my 2016 Yamaha R6. Ride safely !
Hours and hours of work lol changed one yesterday on the trail in ten mins.
If you can change a rear tube in under 10 mins out on the trail - you should film it and apply for a world record ! That would be seriously impressive ! Stay safe and continued safe riding to you !
can I put tire sealant?
Yes if you want to add it - it won't affect the rim sealant. Personally I have had 100% success with rope seals vs liquid sealant which is not guaranteed to work - I wish you continued safe riding !
Beautiful sounding engine after the db killer was installed!
Indeed - it's a very sweet beefy sound ! I Love it - thanx for the positive comment - I wish you continued safe riding !
But, when you adjust the spokes, doesn't that break the seal?????
It's possible - but realistically how often have you adjusted your spokes ? Spoke adjustment involves tightening the spoke nuts on the outside of the rim. The spoke head on the inside of the rim is locked in place and shouldn't turn or spin as long as it isn't damaged... thus the sealant on top of that inner spoke head remains in place. But like I said I suppose you could break the sealant if the spoke breaks or your rim is so badly out of round that serious adjustment is required .... if anything the sealant will hold your flat spoke heads in place even better . I wish you continued safe riding.
@@thebritonabike I always check the rim at every tire change. More often than not I need to adjust a few spokes to keep the rim true.
gheez, Hwy 88 up to Tahoe is smoother then that race track. nice work after clearing traffic
I agree completely - the asphalt is pretty horrible in places with pot holes and cracks everywhere - it's supposed to simulate So.Cal canyon riding so in that respect it's pretty accurate .. LOL ! ... they do groom it but you have to watch for sand and gravel and tumble weeds that the desert seems to produce and throw at you regularly ! I wish you continued safe riding !
A “high speed” instructional video, and this is supposed to be helpful?!? Even people with a photographic memory will have a problem with this! Why do it that way?!?
My apologies if it ran too fast for you ... it is SUPER easy to assemble with very basic hand tools - just a few nuts and bolts - ratchet and tighten - and you are done. You can assemble it without putting the supplied bolts in the holes to check that everything aligns before you tighten it all up. ….I wish you continued safe riding.
Why move the meter???
My bad .... I'll try to do better next time. I wish you continued safe riding!
56 owning a K7 model….simply awesome!!
….simply awesome!! AGREED !! I wish you continued safe riding!
how good this sealant holds up??
Probably longer than the life of the wheel .... ask me again in 10 years if the sealant is good .. except by then I probably won't own the bike. Suffice to say it is still good - with no leaks. I wish you continued safe riding!

Sounds better with db killer
Yes indeed - that's why I left them in ! I wish you continued safe riding !
well this is clear: the DB-killer should be called: Pitch-Killer: The muffler sounds lower but not any quieter.
Definitely quieter and much less pitch .. they do work ! I wish you continued safe riding !
I have one in the same color. It’s just heavy, the rest is wonderful!! I enjoy it a lot always I ride it!!
Totally agree! It is a wonderful bike ! I wish you continued safe riding!
@@thebritonabike Will do!
Measurements of noise levels require a much more elaborate method. Just holding the "meter" by hand in random location and measuring with no engine load is not better than just using hear...dB killers should not be an option for any serious exhaust maker. If the exhaust can't be efficient AND silent enough at the same time, then it's just unfair to give the user the choice of efficient OR silent enough. My Yoshimura has no optional dB killer and reach a good balance of Performance and Sound level. It would be even nicer if changing the packing was easier...but it's another story
I agree completely BUT this experiment was simply to see if a cheap and available sound baffle / db killer insert made any difference to the overall sound of my exhaust. And if it does change the sound by how much ? I am sure that if you wanted to further reduce the sound on your Yoshi exhaust you could find a similar suitable insert and rivet it or screw it in place. My Suzuki GSF Bandit 1250cc has a Yoshi exhaust and I love the sound it makes .... like you say a good balance of performance and noise .... although increased performance for any 'slip on' mufflers is a highly unlikely as many dyno tests have proven. I wish you continued safe riding !
How is the quality for the price im about to buy a kit for my gsxr but im concern w the quality
Excellent quality - I was really happy with the overall fit and finish. Everything arrived well packaged with no damage. Each panel did require a little bit of prep sanding before the primer coat went on - other than that I have NO complaints with the fairings and I recommend them. They are GREAT value for money.
I guess they don't care about weight and ease of riding. They're experts😉
Not only are we expert riders most have us instructors have multiple motorcycles in our garages ! These training events are always a decent ride from home so most of us break out the long distance comfort machines with pannier's in order to be comfortable and attend. I wish you continued safe riding !
