@@eugeniamarch Not sure how you can claim to be an X-Men fan and not know that both the original animated series (1992-1997) and this new series (X-Men 97') are based on issues from the Chris Claremont era of X-Men which ran from 1975-1991. So the source material for these animated series dates back 49 years. Your lack of X-Men knowledge definitely shows. Not a single issue from the Claremont era had Morph claiming to be non binary or trying to get frisky with Wolverine either.

In the comics, the switch happened in the aftermath of the Dark Phoenix saga. In this animated series, it has not been revealed when.

The perfect time for the switch is beyond good and evil part 1, Jean was last in X-Men TAS getting thrown through the portal, every scene afterwards is Madelyne and after she was saved she went back to the mansion and started wearing her hair down, even right before this scene when she searches Jean’s mind she sees all memories from the animated series which stops at the wedding in the same episode she was thrown through the portal. Which explains why Jean is alive after Season 1 of ‘97 while Madelyne isn’t. The phoenix force is only connected to Jean because only Jean was possessed by the Phoenix.

Because Madelyne isn't something Logan can "have". She's a person. And secondly, what makes you think she would want to be with Logan?

It would more likely be Jean.

Because nothing with any part of Jean in it can ever truly love Logan. Any time she has was just poor writing from a dumb Wolverine fan.

Or Jean while Madelyn and Scott move to genosha.

@@user-jy2tt9gc9b First, I pegged Iceman as being gay waaaay back in the 1990s, when he was dating Opal. When you look at Bobby's dating history since the 1960s when the X-Men were created, it just made sense for his character. Second, there was a "plan" to make Wolvie bisexual by one writer, but it was scrapped. Third, I'm glad it was scrapped. Wolvie, by definition, is a straight Alpha male. (Hell, he's probably a straight "Omega-Male".) Anyway, Wolvie is _completely_ secure in his sexuality. Logan accepts Morph for who and what he is, unconditionally. Wolverine is a gay _ally._ When Morph was captured by Sinister in the original X-Men TAS, Logan fought hardest to get his best friend back. Wolverine doesn't care where Morph dips his wick. Wolverine cares about _who_ his best friend is, and couldn't care lest _what_ his best friend is ... which is the exact point of the X-Men.

In my head canon, Cyke has spent so much of his life with shades and visors on that he really doesn't have a strong idea of how he looks without them. He's dependent on Jean to help project that mental image to Nathan.

I think it's so they can look into each other's eyes. When Scott removes his visor before Jean assists him with his condition, we see only plain red eyes because they are permanently connected to the 'optic blast dimension', even in his astral form. Nathan has such a rugged and worn-out face, grim and serious. But in this one scene, they reveal the kind and sensitive eyes he inherited from Scott.
