This was one of our favorite hikes! Indian Flats Falls - Smoky Mountains
From the Middle Prong trailhead at Tremont this trail follows the Lynn Camp Prong creek. This hike is 4 miles out and 4 miles back for a total of 8 miles. Allow between 3 and 4 hours to complete the hike. Weather you're coming from Gatlinburg or Townsend, head to the Townsend Wye then continue onto Laurel towards Cades Cove. You'll take the first left onto Tremont Rd that follows along the Middle Prong of the Little River. After a 5 mile drive down a gravel road you'll reach the trailhead. The trail is wide and mostly easy to navigate. There are sections with larger rocks where you need to be more aware of your footing. This is apparently not a busy trail or waterfall. We saw other vehicles at the trailhead parking and encountered few hikers along the way. Once we reached Indian Flats falls we did not see anyone. We really enjoyed this hike and would highly recommend it to anyone who thinks it's within their hiking skill level.

It's rare that you drive thru Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains and not see wildlife. On this trip around the loop we saw 2 bears (I only filmed one), 2 deer, and many turkey. Hiking before breakfast - Meigs Creek Cascade waterfall GSMNP

When in the Smokies a lot of folks want to hike a trail to see a waterfall. The Meigs Creek Cascade waterfall is a relatively easy hike with a total elevation gain of 738 feet and a total of 3.5 miles out and back. If you're looking for a waterfall that isn't hard to get to, make the drive across the Great Smoky Mountains National Park into Cherokee, NC and check out Mingo Falls. If you visit the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg Tennessee area you really need to go zipline at CLIMB Works. It is hands down the best zipline in the Smoky Mountains. This is one of our favorite summer activities when visiting the Smokies! #zipline #gatlinburg #smokymountains

Chicken Coop Maintenance

Keeping chickens requires more than just feeding and collecting eggs. Cleaning the coop is necessary on occasion. My coop flooded during recent rains so the hay and wood flakes on the ground were pretty nasty. In this video I clean it out, add some more sand, then put out fresh wood shavings. I also feed and collect eggs. Let me know what you think about my coop.

Yep, get up there and slip on down to Fontana lake, turn left and go along side of Fontana Lake, a very pretty drive. Go on up through Bryson to Cherokee. Keep going, back over Newfound Gap and down to Gatlinburg. If you go on to Pigeon Forge, to traffic light #2, take a left to go back to Wears Valley and complete the circle. It’ll take all day; but, it’s a nice drive. Good food in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Have a great time.

It was great! The trail was rather easy to hike and it was nice to have beautiful creek views almost the whole time.
I was rooting for the goat but the chicken was very "warm blooded" lol

@@pointnozzleaway We've been to Anakeesta but haven't done their zipline. I believe Anakeesta has 3 lines and CLIMB Works has 6. The lines at CLIMB Works are longer too. CLIMB Works really is the best zipline in the Smokies.

That sauce is from a local place here in our town. Their food is amazing!
I grew up in Washington parish La. It’s waste, on miss. border. Nice place to live. Most all my family is still there, haven’t been back in a while. I like to go in fall or spring.
That’s pretty low water. I use to walk there every day, but moved towards franklin area. Not usually that low, but still looks like fun!
That was our first time there. We loved it.
Bryson city is a nice town. I lived there about 5 years, still not too far away. If you go back, I’d recommend riding the train over across the lake to NOC where there’s rafting etc. it’s a pretty train ride, but make reservations cause it’s always full.
We've taken 2 train rides in Bryson City. Once in winter and once in summer. We enjoyed it.
