That first part unironically would have been a brilliant way to give Ranni further character development. A shame Fromsoft didn't think of that angle. Perhaps modders could add something like that into the game.

Well, Ansbach can hold up well to the fight and does a bleed damage and Trollier even if he dies during the fight can still cause poisoning. Combining this with giant pots of rot and the summon of the divine bird warrior Ornis (which is very good) the odds improve a lot.
