Instead of taking the more expensive direct flight from the airport on the island we took the $27 USD flight from the Surat Thani airport. The flight was about 1 hour and ten minutes. The night market is very large, including the entire surrounding business district. There are many stores selling food, clothes and drink… However, things are a little expensive, . Some snacks have big lines and need a long wait 😅. Shilin Night Market is close to the MRT Jiantan Station and there are many buses nearby, so transportation is convenient.

Lot's of street food... likely not the most healthy. There are many restaurants in the area, likely varies in how healthy that is like most places. Generally speaking I have noticed personally that the weights of people have been increasing over the years, but I have not personally done any scientific research regarding this... use wiki.
Used to live by here. You passed by a great restaurant there for soup dumplings, 酥餅， and the like.

Hey Another great video! Thanks for the “bigger isn’t always better” reminder. I’m trying to decide on what scooter to get when I move there and I’m always thinking “bigger” coz I’m tall but now you have me thinking.
if you are comfortable on bikes... get the 150-160cc ... good for longer rides with another person... 125's are a 'little' better for single riders... they are about the same power since they are also lighter... if you are 90kg+ ... get the larger bikes... if you move there... simply rent all options and try them out first

@@LedZippo99 That first bar is now simply called Sports Bar. They renamed it at the beginning of the year when they did some renovations, changed to colors and so on. Game is up the street under the Nana BTS station. Largest restaurant and bar on Sukhumvit in the Nana area.

Last time i was in Bangkok years ago it did my head in. I was in this bar in soi 4 nana , ordered a beer and after id had a couple of sips the waitress comes up saying you want one more. Happened so many times i paid up and got out. I know they are working on tips but it just wound me up. The bar you were in seemed pretty chilled out
Yeah it was a sports bar kind of close to Nana... Maybe a few blocks away. If you go to the Nana area it's everything aggressive and well ...you know

I thought it was pretty cool you did some Vids on Surat Thani cuz a lot of people actually pass thru there but no one ever knows what to do while they wait to go to and from Samui.
