60 Seasons is a reflection on the passage of time and how we mark and record it wrapped around the celebration of the life of a dog. Echoing the avant-garde European filmmakers of the 1920s, the film’s mid-section serves as a visual tone poem in which Schierholt travels through the seasons of his dog’s life, utilizing storytelling that allows images, music and ambient sound to do the work. Imme...

Awesome!🎉
Lovely film. Can I ask, as a developing documentary maker, what's the market for a film like this? Can your production company sell it anywhere?
She’s now 104
Two dimensional...in all the best ways. One foot here...and the other..."There." How I miss you.
Miss You, My Friend 💖
Can't help but invoke both Isamu Noguchi and Constantin Brancusi... Simply moving and cutting materials does not constitute "art". I'm afraid there is no alchemist at work in Mr Herrington's studio. He seems very fortunate to have the disposable income he does.
Amazing work and innovative ideas
Cabot was always and often a delightful addition to the cocktail hour in the back room of the EMW on Columbus ave. His wit, humor and candor cut through all of the other BS in the air wherever he was.
Some are just like I used to do as a child, coloring in my swirly designs. I really liked doing that. She is in the door open. 💙
absolutely fascinating!
You lived a beautiful life Harold.
Thank you for this very informative video on a very important urban center in New York- beautiful Jamaica. Exciting to see the excellent work done by the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation.

You succeeded! You achieved your goal.
Truth from the master.
Wow I didn't know remington came through there. I've always wanted to join this school , I think this is a good time for me join because my life is somewhat condusive for this kind of serious study .
It is wonderful to learn about Cabot Lyford in the short film. We are recent homeowners in Pemaquid Point though vacationing in Maine for over 40 years. Love learning more about the artists who lived locally.
I live there. Jamaica, Queens :D
She spoke to our children's art class in the 60's. I remember walking around her sculptures as a tiny child -we were mesmerized. I've loved her work forever.
what an amazing memory! xx
can't wait.
HEY. i go to that school omg....
I wish I could get a grant to attend the art students League of New York
Where can I purchase this on DVD?
How wonderful to discover a family relative. Very grateful for your film project!
Goddamn I am proud to have briefly studied at this school
Great vid
I took his litho class because my Dad knew he was retiring soon. He was so talented, inspiring and a treat to be in his presence as he told such interesting stories of war and life!
:-))
What a dream home. I'm in Spokane. Wonder if anyone builds them here?
a wonderful video
I made that mask at 1:26! (and it's for sale ;)
Beautiful. I like this best of all your pieces.
Is this film available?
Ready to buy one. I live in Wisconsin. :)
Prof. Sykes was the chairman of the graduate committee when I pursued my MFA at Auburn. While showing me the most efficient way to bunch a tarlatan, the secretary of the Art Dept. came down to the litho studio to tell Maltby he had a long distance call from Paris. He said, "France? Well have them hold the phone", and worked with me until it was right. He congratulated me after my show and told me to "keep drawing and have at least one Deaf Smith peanut butter sandwich and two scotches daily."
This looks fantastic. I am eager to see the film.
Cabot Lyford taught me sculpture when I was attending Phillips Exeter in the early 60's. I was a "fac brat"..my father was a teacher and assistant principal there. I think of him from time to time...he inspired me and I still sculpt occasionally. I thought I'd Google him to see what I could find and I discovered this treasure. I sculpted a seagull in flight under his guidance, and it flew in my mother's house for years...it now flies in mine.
Nice to see Lyford and his work on MPBN tonight, too.
Painter Larry Moore recently mentioned in his blog that the arts are the only area of school that teaches us to think and solve problems - the rest is only regurgitation of whatever the teacher or the book just said. We need thinkers.
I very much enjoyed this--particularly knowing how connected you are as a filmmaker. It inspires me in my own vision for how I want to make films. Thanks so much.
