It is a bit too quiet there for it being woods and wilderness. Especially now that I am in other parts of Florida where it's animals and insect sounds nonstop. It is a bit eerie

It must be a Midwest thing. I have not seen or heard of it since I've been here. As long as the spiders stay outside, I'm okay with them. I have had a few huge huntsman spiders in my house in the past. They freak me out.

@@howdyEB I don’t kill spiders but they do freak me out. My daughter had a black widow under her house It freaked me out but after reading about them I was ok. They aren’t aggressive.

@@beesandseeds I'm glad they aren't aggressive. It was my first time seeing one. They are a lot larger than I thought they would be. I saw a scorpion last summer, I should start wearing shoes and gloves outside, but I always forget 🤣

I sometimes am a bit nervous. The people drive really bad here in Florida. People partying, tourists, elderly on meds, locals on drugs, people road raging, and just plain whackos drive like crazy here. The side streets don't bother me too much, but I do get nervous every time a car gets close. One truck actually swerved and tried to hit me a month ago.

Same I don't really feel sick, as much as I just feel really tired. I feel a lot better today. I am going to try and make myself go to bed earlier and get a steadier sleep schedule going. I always say that, but I end up not sleeping🤣

I did wrap it in seaweed! I haven't had an eye exam in a while, I need one. I want one of those minitrucks so bad, there is a dealership about 15 miles from me that sells them. I love that tomato sauce with potatoes. It's great. I ordered from amazon, the polar storefront they have. Get a lot from them and the Brunswick store front on amazon. Try the tomato sauce with mashed potatoes, it's great!

I hope it grows as beautiful as the pictures. I may start growing it in the front if it is as ornamental looking like that. I have enough fish for a few years 🤣I have to keep telling myself not to buy more. I already want to buy some more though, and it only comes in an 18pk online 😂

I had no idea they got that huge. There are giant cactus around here and the flower are not even half that size. I am wondering how big the fruit will be. I hope I can keep it alive for 20 years, that would be really cool. I have a jade plant that is 20 years old! It's been pruned down to almost nothing though so I could move it.

I buy them at both. Some things I just can't find at the stores, so I buy them on amazon. I have never been to Costco or Natural Grocer. I haven't heard of Natural Grocer before. I want to check them out. I used to hate fish, but I love it now.

It's indeterminate, mine didn't get too large though, only a couple feet, maybe 3 feet at the most before they started to die back from the weather. It would be so cool to cross it with micro tomatoes and get a little tomato that makes little purple fruits!

Thanks! I used them to repel nematodes before, and it worked out great. I will try pouring some around the plants and see if they go away. They are going to kill a few of my trees if I don't.

There are so many elderly people here. They have bingo somewhere every night, knitting clubs and even a woodworking club where they have a shop. You can rent the tools or go down there and use them. So many downsize and retire, so they don't have workshops or the room. They have a big place you can go and rent tools and use the shop there instead of having to have your own.

It's these giant springs I have for shock absorption lol. It sounds like the wheels are gonna fly off any minute 🤣

That little bunny wasn't there the first time I went around that corner, then the second time, she was just hanging out. She's still there. I went there the other day, and she must stay in that spot a lot. I wonder if she will have babies in the area. There used to be a rattlesnake right there all the time last year 😭

Me too, it's beautiful. I love watching it sway in the breeze.

I may end up having to replace all my citrus someday, I hope not though. I hate the ants. I never would have thought they would be such a problem. It's really strange to think about getting a big harvest in November, December, and January. That seems to be when I harvest the most things though.

@@beesandseeds I am going to have to end up using ant traps or something. I don't really want to use a spray, there's so many things around, including little lizards and such. I don't know what would happen. It would probably wash through the sand and stuff too. I even put my potted plants in trays of water to deter them. Flooding my plants. 🤣They at least lived. It was either flooded potted plants, or an ant farm.

I'm so glad it didn't destroy my trees. The last hurricane that came through ruined my grapefruit tree and broke all the branches off. It's never recovered. I am so excited to try out the peas! Thank you so much for the seeds! I wish I could try the edamame, but I read it's the same soy and I can't eat it. I will give them to someone that can, so they won't be wasted! All of my garden beds and flower beds are starting to look like very weedy. I'm in some trouble. I'm going to have to be outside with a flashlight at night pulling weeds. It's too hot when the sun is out 🤣

I'm afraid it's going to be turned into a lagoon with a beach and stores, "The developer is also considering building a man-made inland lagoon, where people can relax on a sandy shore with shops, children’s water activities, rental facilities and other amenities which would be accessible to homeowners and the public." There's a housing development that is called, Tuscany Ranch they are building here. Going to be huge and make my town 3 times larger over the next 20 years.

I know how you feel! I have to get outside and do something, or I end up making a reason to go to the store or something to get out of the house. Sometimes I end up just walking around the store, but I usually buy things I don't really need.🤣 I love living in Florida. It's hard in the 3 months of summer to do things outside, but the rest of the year is perfect.

@@howdyEB So true! As I've aged and because this apartment is small, I don't buy as much, but I don't mind looking. I'm within walking distance of a couple thrift stores, a grocery, etc., and I've worn those places out, but a walk is always good. I'm glad a couple of these open at 8 a.m. and wish a few more places did, lol. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather.

That is a great idea! It would make mowing and weeding around them a lot easier too! I need to invest in some blocks or something so I can build a platform that will withstand the wind. I have to do something soon because it's getting a bit out of hand with the weeds 😂

@@zuditaka That is what I might do. I may just put them in a corner near a tree to lean on until I can gather up enough bricks to use. I am going to cut down a lot of my passionflower vine because I'm afraid it's going to get wet, heavy and pull down my tree. I might set them over there for now and then build a platform on the corner of that cement pad under the tree.

I couldn't believe how much rain was with this storm compared the others I have seen. I am glad it wasn't that bad where I am. I lost electricity for a bit and my internet wouldn't work right for a few days, but that was the worst of the impacts for me. I also wrecked my bike trying to film the aftermath 😂 It started to pour rain again and my bike and I went flying and landed on my side and slid down the ground for a bit. Took the skin off my arm, knee, and I have bruises all over. I've been hobbling around for days 😂I decided to invest in a helmet. If I hit my head or even needed help, nobody would stop. They would just think I was drunk, or something and passed out. Kind of uneasy to think about.

@@howdyEB A helmet, for sure. Bike accidents and ground burns are no joke. Are you able to do your wound care? It's troubling to think that no one would stop to help an injured person. I am wishing you a speedy recovery.

@@CassieDavis613 Thanks! I have been patching myself and I'm hoping in another week I won't have to deal with it anymore. I think it's really sad how people ignore each other here. They are very competitive with each other too. Completely different than Ohio.

It's great in the summer here. Everyone has gone north and there are not many people about. In the winter I may see 2 or 3 people when I go there. It's not as busy as it used to be. It was a lot bigger, but it was owned by a water treatment facility that changed owners. They fenced off the area and are expanding their facilities and no longer allow people on the trails for insurance and safety reasons. I miss the other half of it.

Thank you!! I am in love with it. I have been going for about 10 to 20 miles a day since June, I want to keep it up for the rest of my life! I wish would have discovered it 20 years ago. I feel great and it's a lot of fun.
