Welcome to Jon B. Rails Video. The home of videos for the Average Railfan.
I make railroad videos that other railfans like me can relate to. Not complicated, not over produced, just videos that show trains passing through the location(s) they were shot.
The Railfanning Videos come out on the first Monday of the month when content available.
Other videos will be posted as time allows for shooting, or editing of older footage, on Mondays at 7am.
I railfan in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and beyond, shooting video.

NB Potash train on the Ann Arbor - 12-19-18 - Jon B. Rails Video

On December 19, 2018, I got a call from a friend of mine saying that a grain train had just left Milan, MI., Northbound on the Ann Arbor RR. Oh yeah, and it had GE power! The Ann Arbor is all EMD!
What it turned out to be is what you see in this video, a loaded potash train lead by two Canadian Pacific GEs. This being something I had never heard of or seen.
The train was taken to Osmer for interchange with the Great Lakes Central. The GE's returned south on the AA with the interchange traffic from the GLC. Not sure where on the GLC this train was headed.
