What is up? This is my training vlog. I'm turning 40 in August 2024 and am currently aiming at making my 40 year old self be in the best shape of his life. That means consistency in my training, focusing on the goals that I have (staying strong/getting stronger and maintaining/increasing my aerobic endurance.
Diet plays a big role as well - I'm doing the meat and fruit thing (shout out Paul Saladino) and getting into the cold as many days a week as I can. This channel is a record of my efforts and hopefully will serve as an inspiration to others.

For this weeks monday night workout we did something a little different. We went for a 2.6km hike into the woods, down 355 stairs down to a back road and back. Between the three of us we brought the 80lb D-ball and a 53lb Kettlebell along for the ride. Each time we stopped to trade loads we did 3 burpees.

Monday night we did Josh Bridges past Sunday video workout. I got a paced 5km run in on Tuesday morning and then a cold plunge.

I PR'd one of my go to runs and then accidentally signed up for a 13.8km Trail run. The next 4 weeks will be oriented more towards prepping for the run. I'll be doing a lot of @TheKneesovertoesguy stuff as I show in this video. I have a decent amount of confidence in my cardio right now to carry me. I think I'm more concerned with keeping my knees healthy.

I mean, good effort, but I'm not sure you can call those burpees.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm certainly not a professional when it comes to movement standards. Do you mean the lack of jumping with hands clapped overhead at the end? If so I'm doing Bar Facing Burpees which is a different standard. Wanted to compare my time to the pros who did this same variation last week.

Yeah it's wild how (fairly) quickly I seem to have adjusted to the cold. It wasn't long ago that I'd start shivering uncontrollably if I started talking. Now it almost feels like a great distraction!
