Actually, I read his book Hillbilly Elegy long before it became a movie on Netflix. Anyone who could rise from the ashes like a Phoenix and accomplish what to some would seem impossible, it tells me a lot about his character. Did he always agree with Trump? No, but neither did a lot of patriots. Only God is perfection. I also liked the fact that he stood up for Canada and lambasted Trudeau (I'm Canadian) a few times. I have seen him in action in Senate meetings so if you don't know who he is - that is on you.

Long time no talk, my son took me to an Indigenous Day picnic @ a park here called Mic Mac, not going to our native events for around 20 years was great as I saw 3 other mums that our kids were in the first native daycare in 97, No one recognized me & it was great seeing everyone again, They couldn't believe Tecumseh was 6 foot 2 being one of the smallest babies in the class, At the same time they all said Tecumseh & his bells. That is interesting… I wonder if that is what is happening today, slowly with ‘entertainment’ industries, as a whole? The entertainment complex now has decades of material to use, has made an entire process of “going to see a movie” and even “playing videogames” (first it was places you went to get your fix, then it was devices you could take home) - and now, just perusing Forums over the years (and CZcams Comments, etc), it seems that so many of the generations alive today (from GenX to Millenials,etc) are becoming ‘disillusioned’ or ‘disappoined’ with entertainment and media… Since about somwhere between 2000 and 2010 [possibly as early as “Star Wars Episode 1” in 2001 - and certainly seen in Forum Comments by “The Force Awakens” in 2015], people have become more and more ‘disappointed’ in entertainment vehicles that have come out… Other than a few bright shining stars [pun not originally intended] of great examples of cinema and gaming, more and more people are saying ‘their [franchise] is being ruined’ by recent decades’ turn of material or releases. As an example: The Star Wars movies “are being ruined”, if you listen to the most enthusiastic of the fans, by Rey and “wokeness”, etc etc. Videogames “are being ruined”, if you listen to the most enthusiastic of fans, by “wokeness” and low quality releases. Now all entertainment has of course had its’ ups and downs, bad releases, low quality periods, etc; but as of 2025’ish there seems to be nothing but an increase in partakers’ disappointment and let-down-ness at release, after release - in both behemoths of media fields. I state this observation over decades because, it feels like your process described above (that you descibed from the movie) - ‘get people into something’ then ‘take it away’, sort of. Sorta. But if that is something that is happening (that is, a purposeful ruination of entertainment for the masses, as a whole) - what is the Long Game of that..? What happens when ‘the masses’ no longer have entertainment that pleases them, or none at all..?
