I genuinely love how the squad leader lowers his gun when the rescue team finds Walker. Goes to show that even though they know he's a PTSD-ridden, heartless, schizophrenic, crazy maniac that they're legitimately terrified is gonna raze fucking hell, at least a few of them are still genuinely willing to help him

Basically this is FPS sixth sense or fight club. You can go back and see that he was dead the whole time/or that he didn't realize he was the same person as the Colonel (although figuratively, not literally). But the Colonel definitely was his alter ego to justify the things he was doing.

What's eerie that all the NPC civilians throughout the game can be killed and the game doesn't punish you for doing so. Funny thing is they don't simply got caught in the crossfire. Some of them are actually taking cover and even hiding from the players to see.

I like the ending where at the end Walker lowers his weapon and goes home. He leaves Dubai, but Dubai will never leave him. So he will relive the hell he went through over and over until he dies.

I had done more horrible things throughout the game with Walker, but I never considered that I was the only villain until this scene. Fantastic writing, need more games that fuck with you personally.

Ive scrolled through the comment section, but I havent noticed a single comment on the American Flag in the menu. At the beginning of the game, It's bright, colorful, alive, but upside down. But at the end of the game, the flag is dulled, dim, broken, but rightside up. Now I'm not much of a philosopher, but I believe in the beginning, Walker thinks he's going on a cake walk, just save the citizens of Dubai, he doesn't understand how far the rabbit hole goes. But in the end, Walker is broken, judging by what you choose, to either accept what you've done and end it or continue to blame Konrad, Walker will still have a grasp of what he's done in his dying mind.

My idea is that, while Walker went insane with the idea he could he a hero (leading to all of this), ever since shit started going down, Lugo and Adams were starting to also get insane, but with the idea of following orders, they also seems filled with anger all time every time, and pretty much hate you, yet... They still follow the chain of command.

Commander: "Konrad, I need you to come back home. Your job is finish." Konrad: "Nah, we're heading to Dubai to save people. Who's with me. boys?" 33rd: "YEAH!" Commander: *facepalm* "Oh my god." *6 months and 2 weeks later* Commander: "Alright, Walker. I need you to go to Dubai to locate survivors and contact rescue. DO NOT engaged any farther, just leave the city once you spot people." Walker: "You got it, sir." *Days passed" Soldier: "Sir, we found Captain Walker!" Commander: "Oh good, what's his status?" Soldier: "Well, he's all alone, been shot at, wearing a dead man's clothing, and seems to be in shellshock." Commander: "For fuck sake. Does anyone listen to me anymore?"
