There are sober Russian men out there , but the stereotype prevails. Drunk, late , takes bribes, full of braggadocio. They boss women around , don’t take them seriously enough, to the point of condescence. Give them the reigns , the war would be over , the economy could rebuild. Corruption would be hard to shake , even with women involved as equals. Certain things never change. And Russian gals , as a norm, don’t tolerate wishy washy types. They want their man to be chivalrous , to pay the tab , to let them go to work , raise kids. And they will douse you with attention , and indulge you in some serious home cooking. Get off the line , and expect them to clean the clock and leave you penniless. That is your stereotypical Rusky gal in a nutshell. Go figure it.
