I 100% agree with the shrimp take. I've worked in restaurants for a while and the first time I had to peel and de-vein shrimp I was fucked up mentally for like a week on whether I was okay eating shrimp moving forwards. I LOOOOOOOVE shrimp, its one of the only proteins I fucking love. Somehow I never put the image of a shrimp from the ocean = my delicious fried shrimp. You gotta break the "shell thing" that covers the meat at a certain vertebrae, twist and rip it off, then pull off all the little "feetsies". Then while slicing it down the back and pulling out the veins you just get to sit with the emotional turmoil.
