    Beautiful! The Lord has sent new spouses into the lives of many divorced Christians, including well known pastors/evangelists , so , apparently, there is no perpetual adultery involved after the sin is confessed. My parents were both previously married; my mother brought 2 young children into the marriage and my father adopted them, then they both adopted me. Before my father died, they were married 25 years. They weren't perfect, but they taught me about Jesus Christ and brought me to church each week.

    Fraud! Divorce and remarriage is adultery. Adultery will not enter the kingdom of heaven. The word of God is simple and straightforward. This wolf is leading many into the pit of hell unless he repents.. there will be a lot of blood in his hands. Western Christianity is worldly new age. A covenant marriage is only broken by death of a spouse as Apostle Paul wrote in Romans, 1 Corinthians. Which aligns with Jesus Himself who says whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery and vise versa. And whoever marries a divorcee also commits adultery. Peace. May the Spirit of the Lord lead you to the truth.

    What is taught in this video is not biblical. If a man or woman divorces the covenant spouse AND marries another, he/she is committing adultery. If anyone marries a divorced person, he/she is committing adultery. Read Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18. A person cannot remarry unless his/her covenant spouse is physically dead (Romans 7:2-3, 1 Corinthians 7:39). People cannot disregard the scriptures and make things up to please themselves. Jesus is the one who said that divorce and remarriage is adultery. You either believe what He said or you don’t.

    • @godgavemeeyestosee
      @godgavemeeyestosee Před rokem

      @@pegc9889 A man who divorces his wife may CAUSE her to commit adultery if she decides to remarry after the divorce. However, if the divorced wife does remarry, she IS guilty of adultery and God WILL hold her responsible for her choice to remarry and to, therefore, commit adultery. Just like Revelation 13:16 says that the second beast (False Prophet) CAUSES all, both small and great, to take a "mark" on either their forehead or right hand, it does not make those who chose to take the mark innocent because Revelation 14:9-11 says that whoever takes the "mark" will be tormented with fire and brimstone and the smoke of their torment will ascend forever and ever, and they will not have rest day and night. Although taking the "mark" is a sin from which no one can ever repent for taking it, a remarriage after a divorce from a covenant spouse (which is adultery) can be repented of. To repent from the remarriage, one must confess the sin of adultery to God AND forsake the adulterous marriage. "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy (Proverbs 28:13)." 1 Timothy 3:1-4 has nothing to do with abandonment in a marriage. 1 Corinthians 7:15 does not imply biblical grounds for divorce, but if it did, it does not say or imply that the abandoned spouse can remarry. For the abandoned spouse, to remarry would put him/her in a state of adultery. 1 Corinthians 7:15 means that if an unbelieving spouse wants to leave a believing spouse, the believing spouse should left him/her leave and not try to force the unbelieving spouse to stay with him/her because God has called believers to peace. Trying to force a person to stay with someone they do not want to stay with causes conflict; not peace. Yes, God is gracious and that is why He warns people that remarriage after divorce is adultery (Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18, Romans 7:2-3). The problem is that people do not take His warning seriously because they want to get remarried if they ever find themselves divorced for any reason. God NEVER goes against His word, so He will NEVER send a "new" spouse to a person who is divorced from his/her covenant spouse while that spouse is still alive because only death ends the marriage (Romans 7:2-3 and 1 Coirnthians 7:39). You said that all a person has to do is confess the sin of adultery and there is no perpetual adultery. Please provide me any scriptures that state that a sin is no longer a sin once you confess it. This is very hard to face, but your mom's remarriage to a man who adopted you, does not change the fact about what Jesus said about divorce and remarriage. He said it is adultery and there is no way around that, no matter how glad you were about their "marriage" (Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18). The Catholic nun was also correct about a remarriage after divorce sending someone to hell because the remarriage is adultery. Anyone in adultery will go to hell if they do not repent and forsake the adulterous remarriage. Please read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and Galatians 5:19-21. I am not unsympathetic towards those who are divorced and remarried, but the Bible is the final authority on any and every matter and it says that to divorce and remarry is committing adultery (Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18, Romans 7:2-3). I do not want souls to go to hell because people believe that they can remarry after they divorce when they cannot. The Bible is very clear about this, yet people twist the scriptures in attempts to justify remarriage after divorce..

    Around 18:00 in, brother Wommack diverts from the phrase "gods of this world," which he applies to Adam and Eve and quotes Jesus/Psalm 82 in the famous verse 10:34: "Is it not written..."...Ye are gods..."?" But, here there's at least one fallacy of reason or misunderstanding of words, and some strange assertions, so I make the following observations: 1. He confuses "world" meaning the whole cosmos, vs. "world" meaning the earth, or "earth" to mean "world." Adam is given authority over the earth and the living things on it, but not the cosmos. 2. "god of this world" is clearly a title used for Satan, and "world" here likely means the whole cosmos, or at least a level above "the earth," and to apply it to man is highly problematic, a topic for theological debate in a scholarly setting maybe, nothing to teach from the pulpit. Stick with what we can say with a high degree of confidence. 3. The use of Psalm 82 toward the Pharisees in John 10:34 makes for a difficult scripture. First, we ought to note what we can say, again with confidence: a. He calls the passage from the Psalm, "your law..." in a rather cheeky way. He poses a sticky question to them who are accusing him of making himself to be on the level of God, which He in fact is. We ought to find this a bit strange, as in no other case do we find the Lord referring to the Psalms as the law, though he speaks of "the law and the prophets," in one place b. He uses the clause, "to those to whom the word of God came...' in reference to the ones being called "gods." It's not clear in the context of John 10 who Jesus is talking about. In the context of the Psalm, it's the heavenly authorities, "the divine assembly" (v. 1), "the gods" (v. 2), "sons of the Most High" (v. 6). It doesn't seem that these entities are human. c. Therefore, Jesus is saying something that has to do with the Pharisees, and more than just them, something about mankind and our relationship to divine majesties of which we have no or very little understanding. But He does have understanding. He is making a challenge: "your law." He seems to be saying, you all affirm this, but you don't have any idea what's at stake, what's behind it all. You make rules but have no principles, no judgment, no vision, and can't possible perceive your fallenness. 4. What I have written is inadequate but a starting point for others to reassess Wommack's teaching, which follows the Word of Faith tradition. He rarely if ever quotes sources, always managing to give the impression he thought of these beliefs himself. Some of them he likely did innovate. Much of it comes from precursors like Kenneth Hagin. Anyone whose been around Pentecostals for a few decades would know.-

    Neither did Adam (and certainly not Eve) have "unconditional authority and power" (around 16:30), rather Adam was instructed to tend the garden, which he arguably did not do. Moreover, the command not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil expressly limits Adam's freedom. Unconditional authority is not a phrase I would ever use, and not even toward God, as it's too Calvinistic for my taste, but it can't be applied to man in any case. Jesus himself claims "all authority" given to him, and so it was, but not without guidelines.

  • @duncescotus2342
    @duncescotus2342 Před 2 lety

    This is one place where the wise would default to the traditional view, given that we DO have a scripture, albeit a single verse that testifies. Here brother Andrew would like us to hear his interpretation which is based on NO verse. That Christ calls Peter "Satan" is without a doubt figurative, as He would have hardly invited the devil to see Himself transfigured with Moses and Elijah.

      the issue is do you have a covenant marriage...and if you were married to a divorced woman, via Mt 5....it means that you were committing adultery, and leaving that relationship was leaving a sinful relationship.....which means you could ....marry.....again....so your second relationship is a covenant marriage, and consistant with the Biblical teaching....
